Registration for "immersive Gear VR experience for $99" - How did it Go

So now, I have no shipment information AND the pending charge has disappeared with no hard charge to my card. I think I am screwed.

Did you have shipping information before?? Also, the rules says that your card will not be officially charged until the bundle ships.

Please note that my pending CC charge disappeared as well. It did the same thing with my phone preorder. When the status changes from Processing gift to Gift sent and they send you an email with a tracking number then your CC will be officially charged. This is what I'm guessing based on my experience in how they did the preorder of the phone.

I did not have shipping information before. However, I did have a pending charge for the bundles. Now, the pending charge is gone, and there is no hard charge. It is like it just disapeared.
 
My first vr and $99 bundle should be here tomorrow. I still have no idea when my other vr headset is suppose to ship.

Mine disappeared too. The rules say the CC will not be officially charged until the unit ships. The same thing happened to my phone preorder. Be patient.
 
Of course they are trying to make some money. It's actually pretty smart. If I didn't have any interest in the merchandise in the $99 bundle I would sell it too. Why Not? I could sell the card for 150 easy, the headphones 125 easy, and the VR bundle for 100 even and make 275 dollars profit. Am I going to do that? Hell no. I want my bundle. I am very excited to get 580 dollars worth of stiff for only $99. Dang good deal.

I'd classify it as more grimy than anything. I don't know about "smart"....it's just simple math. Grimy in the fact I know I've seen at least one of the sellers have multiple bundles to sell. It's more the morality of it than anything, which is the problem with the world today : )
 
Just curious on the process. I registered through the website while logged into my Samsung account. I believe it said it would send a link to buy? Now I'm at the 3rd stage on the promotion page saying processing gift, I think it's been at this stage for a day or two now. Will it still be sending me an email to purchase or will it automatically charge the payment method in my Samsung account? Seems to be taking a while if it's just sending me an email link or code to buy the package.

Mine is the same. Processing for 2 days. Just waiting on the email. Made it in for the bundle on Friday before being sold out!
 
jamezr....have you an update? Also have you been charged with post fee for the bundle. I still HAVE NOT been charged!!!
I was charged as soon as I ordered the bundle. Got the email confirmation with an order number but nothing after that :) i guess i have to be patient.....not something I am good at
 
Well, that was productive. Waited on hold for two hours and 24 minutes with Samsung Customer Service before they decided to hang up on me. Called the 1-800-SAMSUNG number and was on hold for the first hour and 46 minutes, until the rep who finally got on the line told me that "the proper number" that had access to my order and its status was 855-726-8721. He transferred me and I waited some more until the line "just disconnected." Of course, after learning that their hours are from 9AM to 9PM, I figure they just decided to close up all the lines for the night.

Great customer service, guys.

Decided to give it another go this morning. Directly called the 855 number and was on hold for about 55 minutes until a real relaxed dude picked up and told me that my "confirmed" status in my Fully Immersive Gear VR Bundle order means it's readying for fulfillment, to which I should be expecting a tracking number tomorrow. In that respect, I should be expecting the package no later than early next week. I was also told that to expedite the waiting process, I should seek a live operator and go straight to the E-Commerce department.

He added that the Fully Immersive Gear VR Bundle is the whole kit and kaboodle: Gear VR, controller, AKG Bluetooth headphones, and Samsung U3 256GB microSD card. Reason I'm saying this is that some people, including those on Reddit, have ended up getting two Gear VR and controllers delivered, meaning they're getting the Infinitely Immersive bundle AND the Fully Immersive bundle. Interestingly, my Infinitely Immersive bundle is back to "approved" status, and because I happened to have registered with a different email address than what my newly created Samsung account eventually ended up being, a similar situation could happen to me - the representative at @SamsungSupport informed me that my free Infinitely Immersive bundle is scheduled to be delivered within 6 to 8 weeks.

Ok so for my understanding you will receive the standard PLUS full VR bundle making it 2 VR's???... That's how I understood what you just said - sorry if I'm wrong.
 
Has anyone else receive the $99. bundle yet that purchased outside of Samsung direct?
Mine is coming tomorrow. Bought mine from JOD. Luckily for me registering, approval, and purchasing it was very quick and smooth. It sucks to read how many other people are having issues, here, XDA, reddit

Okay. I just got off the phone with Samsung promo dept. Super nice woman answered the phone amd didn't give me a scripted dialogue. She verified my shipping address to make sure she pulled up the correct order and she verified I was approved for the $99 bundle and even said I was approved on 4/20 but the claim status said It was approved on 4/21. She also verified that since I all emails I've recieved and the next email k am to recieve. She said the next email I'm expected to recieve is 6 to 8 week shipping. She also said the exact same thing I explained to you about the CC being charged when the bundle actually ships. She said I may recieve a shipping email today, tomorrow, or 2 weeks from now. She said I'm listed in the 6 to 8 week category because they can't give a specific time when shipping the bundle will actually take place. She didn't try to blow smoke up my arse or give me the whole saying you will recieve the email in 24 to 48 hours after the approval process, or from today. I felt she was honest with me and gave it to me straight. She said I've been approved, she verified I will recieve a shipping email with tracking number and to be patient because I will get it, it just may take some time. Hope this clears it up for you, cuz you're probably in the same boat I'm in as well as a whole bunch of others.
