Registration for "immersive Gear VR experience for $99" - How did it Go

I keep trying to call but I either get disconnected or I'm on hold for so long I can't hold any longer. Mentioned this in email. I told them they were happy to take the money out of my account right away but a week and a half later still no shipping information. Even though they got my money a while back. I start work at 7am so calling at 9am isn't an option. By the time I get home around 4pm, the hold time is so crazy I can't get through.
 
Please show me where it says that the original terms and conditions no longer apply when you submit an order! You submitted the 99 plus applicable taxes. As long as you receive your product what's the point of get angry and upset over shipping you didn't even pay for? But I said it before and I'll say it again....its not in my nature to get worked up the way some of you are. Now if you don't receive the product whatsoever then I can understand. Honestly I'm not sure why y'all feel the need to justify to me why you're angry anyways lol! All I did was post my personal experience and said that I was being patient. If you don't want to be patient that's your business!!!

The customers receiving the Free Bundle fall under the 6 to 8 week timeframe but when you actually have to pay for something the terms change to the terms of sale. All because someone offers free shipping doesn't mean anything. Lots of businesses offer free shipping. I'm not angry.. far from it.. that's why I said I will wait until tomorrow to call if nothing happens tonight because it changed from Processing gift to gift sent today. I called last week and ecommerce sent an escalated email to the warehouse so there is no need to call right now. I'm giving them a chance to get the order ready to be shipped out either tonight or tomorrow. I know that I will end up receiving the order and that is all that matters.

Mine said same thing. If paid for 99 dollar bundle they claimed shipping in 1 to 3 business days. I took screen shots but I only captured the relevant parts to my order not the fine print. But I did clearly remember reading those details. My real problem is they said they wouldn't charge my account until it ships. I was charged immediately and they have had my money for a week and a half now. No shipping information whatsoever. If they didn't take my money out like they said I'd be alright but if they are so quick to debit my bank account then they better ship it in a timely manner!
 
The terms and conditions specifically state that "Gifts are AVAILABLE for a limited time, while supplies remain available, on a first-come, first-served basis" it does not state that will be shipped out on a first come first serve basis. they also state that "Gifts may take up to 6-8 weeks after verification of Offer Claim Form/Qualifying Purchase receipt and compliance with these Offer Terms and Conditions to be mailed to Participants." None of us paid for the 2 day shipping nor was it apart of the actual terms and conditions(was it misleading??? YES!)...however, it was free therefore it was a courtesy. They could have taken then entire 6-8 weeks if they really wanted to.
If you have a confirmation email I think it's just a matter of being patient. Now for those who have a POSTED charge and no tracking, I understand their frustration because it states that you will be charged once the item has shipped. But getting upset over who got what first is not in my nature!

Truth is, the vast majority of the heartburn on this (including mine) was caused by buyers' impatience, since everyone is still within that 6-8 week window. Samsung definitely "contributed" by making additional promises on the phone and/or email; but I doubt anyone would have been happy with "Please wait 8 weeks, and call us back if you didn't receive the device you ordered."
 
6 to 8 weeks is for the free VR package. If you paid 99 for the immersive bundle the terms of sale told us 1 to 3 business days. And you would be charged once shipped. I was charged the moment I bought it. Not pending, it cleared my bank account. That 105 bucks is long gone and it's in Samsung's pockets. But a week and a half later still nothing has shipped. Any other online entity I've ordered from, I don't get billed until it ships. Might show as pending at first, but it won't clear until shipping initiates. Samsung took my money immediately. It's not unreasonable to therefore expect them (in my case) to ship it within a day or 2 of me giving them money.
 
I'm still wondering if I'm going to get two Gear VR headsets and controllers like several others have reported.

For the Immersive Bundle, my 'Check Gift Status' page just got updated to show 'Gift Sent.'
For my Fully Immersive Bundle, I'm still on 'Confirmed.'

I agree with you...if you have a posted charge, they definitely need to provide you with some answers. In my case my charge was pending and then disappeared. So I just waited because I still had my money.

I registered my claim on the 19th, approved late 21st and paid right after midnight 22nd and that was a Saturday morning. My first business day started in Monday and Friday of last week the ecommerce rep was extremely surprised the order didn't ship by Wednesday of last week, she said it was supposed to be shipped within 3 business days. I don't believe one ecommerce rep has told me 6 to 8 weeks, they've always said the Terms of the sale is 1 to 3 business days.

I know it says ships in 1-3 days I got the same message when I placed my order...I said show me where it says that this dismisses the 6-8 weeks or the 6-8weeks time frame no longer applies. Samsung has those terms and conditions in place to cover their behind for a reason. You don't get your stuff in 1-3 days...Samsung says well the original terms and conditions says 6-8 weeks period. They know what they're doing. At the end of the day...it's a waiting game whether any of us like it or not. Let's just agree to disagree!

Received my bundle yesterday. Even though I got mine, they really handled this poorly. It made no sense on any level. I pre-ordered within the first 5 minutes it went live but they wouldn't know that. It seemed completely dependent on when your carrier or retailer shipped + whether you tried to register it online or through the app. On top of that, although most of us wouldn't, they are pretty stupid to ship within the return window. After all this I could return the phone and keep anything I got.

They should have skipped the whole $99 limited number promo since it just pisses people who don't get one off and said if you pre-ordered in the first X weeks, you get a VR Headset. Send in your receipt and we promise you'll get one.
 
So it says Gift Sent now but I don't know what gift until I see it.

I registered for the free bundle. I got confirmation. Then I got a thing saying to buy the $99 deal. I waited a week looking at "Processing Gift" and decided to go ahead and but the bundle I thought was sold out. I just got confirmation and order number. If I get both I'll see if someone here wants to buy the full deal.
 
No kidding on the $99 deal since I didn't really want it and didn't even order it until yesterday but I am evidently getting it while people who really do want it are not.

Has anyone else not received their email to pay the $99 for the immersive bundle? I've been at processing gift since 4/22, no email link to pay yet. Reached out to Samsung via chat today and they were useless. Called the 1-855 number but I haven't placed an order so they couldn't help.

I'm in the same boat. Called Samsung yesterday and they say I will pay when it ships. Now that makes sense. LOL This promo $ucks. Learned my lesson on this one.
