quick question, i'm guessing if i flash the GPS fix, that will get replaced if I then flash any other ROM besides 2.9.1 correct?

2 weeks ago i thought to myself, I would have gotten an iphone if it was available on vzw back in november when i got my sf.

1 week ago i thought to myself, i'm tired of waiting for froyo, i will get it now and return to stock whenever the ota comes out and stay on that.

today i think to myself, i wouldn't trade my phone for any other one right now, and i will NEVER willingly return to stock for an ota.

and it is all thanks to the wonderful people on this board, like Droidxcon and Landshark for helping beginners like me. And especially Adrynalyne, for creating this awesomeness, i'll have a brew coming your way real soon.

Same here! Loving my Fascinate and it only gets better with each SC update!

I did a deep clean and went back to stock a couple of days ago..lol
Only when I did that, did I fully understand how absolutely slow,buggy,
and all around just crappy my phone was when I purchased it...
Now, it's bad ass... wouldn't trade it for anything..

So it looks like the hiss while on a call is definitely an EB01 kernel issue. Installed the EB16 kernel this morning and haven't noticed any hiss when the screen is on.

Used the gps on the drive from raleigh to wilmington today and lock was almost instant and accurate. I only have standalone and google location services checked.

seems i need to flash to the newer 2.9.1......
and i think i can do it because LandShark put me thru the fast clockwork training the other night and i have been pleased.. i have only one concern.. is there any way to adjust the fascinates sensitivity? the darned things so fast when i am on the phone and my cheeck hits anything i find myself talking A-OK, but i'm in a start position for some program.. from a game to bar code... funny as crap but these high cheek bones can automaticaly change where i am.. and lord help if i think about touching anything, the darned icon next to it fires right up... oh! sorry there is some concern about about the volumn..is there anyway to make it louder .. i have a hearing problem and need a tad more sounding.

i am so glad i took the dive and found this site and the wonderful people in it,, more than ready to help and not snobish as if they knew everything. LandShark went to great lengths to get me updated with CWM... and i think he went far and above what anyone should suffer.. still a newbie but a newbie that knows more than i did when i found this site.. and a special thanks to ..(dont expect the spelling to be correct) but Adrynalin has showed me/us what can be done and thanks goes to him and thanks to the others who will take the time to show one what to do.

i have been going backwards from the end of this posting towards the begining and i still have not found the 2.9.1 ..although everything is fine with 2.9....
i fell asleep with the phones reader reading and 7 hours later i awoke to the reader still reading and checked my battery and still had 81% left of full charge, but i am useing the largest battery that can be bought for the Fascinate.

crap i shot 2 different post wrapped into one.. sry..i aint sure if i am off base or OK with it..thx again..

"2.9.1 patch (Requires 2.9, DO NOT FLASH IF YOU WANT TO KEEP LOCKSCREEN MUSIC CONTROLS!!!)

--Tweaked the GPS in an attempt at faster locking.
--Removed aosp and rotary music controls as there were crashes and random reboots reported (for me as well).
--Added media scanner tweak scripts. Run from adb shell or terminal emulator (with su)
fast_media disables system scanning
default_media puts it back to default
Both will reboot you after running.
Note: if you wipe while fast_media has been set, you will lose your ringtones and media sounds until you set default_media.

Flashed the 2.9.1 patch earlier today and I must say that the GPS is kicking some serious ass now! Damn near instant lock!! And that was in the back roads in the middle of nowhere on an Army base! Pin pointed my exact position while driving. Great work as usual Adrynalyne!!

Updated to 2.9.1 today, wondering about the notification bar clock. Gained the one on the left side with the shade open, but still have the one on the right side all the time. Screenshots over in Adrynalyne's feeler thread don't have the one on the right (http://forum.androidcentral.com/ver...cks/66483-mod-date-time-notification-bar.html). Any ideas on how I get rid of the one on the right? Very well could have missed it somewhere...

I know this may not be possible. But i was curious if there was way to get the feeds and updates widget that was from the TW.. but not any of the other stuff. I just want that one widget and I don't know how to go about getting it. If anyone can find a way for me to flash that back in that would be much appreciated.

Just putting this out there, I get WAY better battery life with the modded EB16 kernel. Phone's only running 30 percent of the time.

Hey guys, I just went through the whole process/steps to get to 2.9 from stock and when I turned my phone back on, it's stuck on the Samsung screen. It's been like this for 10 minutes. Not sure what to do. I'm scared to do anything lol
