[Retired][ROM]Superclean 2.9.2 EA15/EB01/EB16/EC10 Based

Flashed the 2.9.1 patch earlier today and I must say that the GPS is kicking some serious ass now! Damn near instant lock!! And that was in the back roads in the middle of nowhere on an Army base! Pin pointed my exact position while driving. Great work as usual Adrynalyne!!

Sorry to post something not related to superclean, but I had to say if you got your gps lock on an army base because you are in the army, then the help I am giving in these forums is nothing compared to what you and everyone else in the military do for all of us. Thank you for everything you do.

Thanks for the support Landshark

SC 2.9 can't get good install

This is a bit long

When SC 2.9 came out I was on 2.8 and having Clock lag and very only OK battery life. So to flash SC 2.9 I decided to do a data wipe/reset (my first) along with the caches (multiple wipes). I installed SC 2.9nv and every thing WAS GREAT!

But I had used TiBU to restore a couple of things that I realized later I did not need to restore from TiBU. So being a perfectionist I decided to do it again.

But this time when I booted SC 2.9 I had the return of not being able to connect to Wifi. And just like on 2.8 re-flashing a kernel fixed the problem. In this case flashing EB01 kernel over the EB01 Kernel that installed with SC 2.9 (I'm using Adry's Zip file for SC 2.9)

So I wiped/reset and installed the stock full Engineering build, then EB01 Stock-Root-CWM Then SC 2.9 and the same thing happened. (I later realized I didn't need Stock-root-CWM, I could just flash CWM)

So I flashed DI01 then let it update OTA to EA28 and then tried Flashing the full SC 2.9nv package from DroidXcon. And still the same thing.

It's not the files because I am using the same files that I got the first successful install with. Successful meaning not needing to flash a EB01 kernel to get Wifi working

I did one install (I did many) and checked Wifi at every step and got this result.

SC 2.9 (flashed with EB01 Kernel) after reset/wipe - WiFi works
Push EB01 Stock Engineering build - Wifi works
Push EB01-root-CWM - Wif Works
Flash SC 2.9nv - Wifi doesn't work unless I flash EB01 Kernel.

I'm using 'red' recovery and doing more wiping than a nanny at day care. All pushing/flashing was done with > 90% battery. Cable is plugged into the same port it's always been, same computer, OS, etc.

What am I missing? Why can't I get a 'clean' kernel like I did in the first install?

Something has changed on my phone. Is there some file I can delete? Directory to clean out?

The reason I want a pristine install was I was getting AWESOME battery life, No Clock Lag, and did not need to flash a Kernel to get WiFi working with that first install of SC 2.9nv.

Oh, yeah on this last install I flashed the 2.9.1 just to be able to say I tried everything.

Now i'm as much frustrated/intrigued/curious how to get the result I want. I also view it as a learning experience.

Edit to add: I'm still trying things

Super Clean 2.9 no flash player 10.1?

Hello All! I tried "search forums" about this with no luck. I went from debloated/deodexed froyo to stock eclair and last night updated to sc 2.9. *side note: cleared up my time lag issue :')* But now I don't see me having flash player 10.1 anywhere. Went to a site that needs it and all it shows is a blue lego square with white question mark on the sides. I tried downloading the 10.1 in the android market but still didn't work. I set up enabled plug-ins on Always on. How do I get flash player back?

Try clicking on the blue lego square. You will see an image of movies with flash player and you will see a clickable play button on the image. Images and pics requiring flash will show the blue lego square and you have to click on it to see the image even with plug-ins set to always on.

Hi Landshark! I tried that but did not work. I looked in manage applications and I didn't see flash player...

then download it from the market. When i installed froyo the first time i had to download it as well. after the first time it stayed.

Hi Cordoni! I already tried that (from 1st thread). I'll try downloading it again and see what happens.

I've pushed the DI01 package, updated to EA38 via OTA, and have rooted.

Trying to decide how best to proceed. I'm leaning towards a 'manual' method rather than DroidX's all in one package.

Any ideas are welcome.

boot to red recovery. go to mounts and storage. format everything but you sd stuff. the go back and wipe data and cache, flash sc 2.9.

You are currently at stock so I don't think you can boot to recovery and flash.

Here is what I do.

Make sure your ROM / Kernel is on your SD card.

Use Odin to flash the CWM All [RECOVERY] Updated ClockworkMod for ALL ROMs - xda-developers

Turn on phone let it boot. Use the three button method to put phone into recovery mode. This should set you to RED recovery.

Flash Rom / Kernel such as SC 2.9. (Optional flash 2.9.1 patch)

Boot phone you'll be at SC 2.9.x

I know this may not be possible. But i was curious if there was way to get the feeds and updates widget that was from the TW.. but not any of the other stuff. I just want that one widget and I don't know how to go about getting it. If anyone can find a way for me to flash that back in that would be much appreciated.

There is a patch on the first post that adrynaline posted on this thread. It includes TW launcher though, idk if you want the launcher or not, but the patch also includes the widgets.

can anyone else get a wiimote to connect using wiimotecontroller on sc 2.9.1? The official faq for the program states some phones get an error message that it cannot connect (mostly HTCs) and I wonder if Froyo or Superclean is the cuplrit?

edit: after some research it seems Samsung phones aren't supported either :(

system and database stuff gets left from rom to rom and flash to flash. if stuff is getting dorked up after all he has done, then he need a deeper clean.

Do I format sd-ext?

Thanks quick reply. Glad I asked first.

Long as you are watching this thread. Is there a best order for wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition, and Wipe dalvik cache?

And just to be clear/clear, flash 2.9 without ever leaving red CWM, correct?

I am seriously amp'd that this is the solution to my issue getting a good clean flash.
