[Review] Seidio Innocase Active Limited Edition

I think I will stick with the first Platinum case I got from BB. So far it is holding up well and it is easy to remove the back to change the battery if need be. Mine has no play in it so far so maybe that is why I like it. I also really don’ t like the look of that small hole over the mic and am not a fan of having my power and volume buttons covered, personal preference.

I am glad the new case works well for some though. As reviews come in I may change my mind but I really like the ability to remove the back fast and efficiently. This new case does not look like it would be as easy to remove on the fly.

The more choices we have the better I always say. i:Di

Keep them coming!

Believe it or not, this case is easier to remove than the platinum case I had from BB. The exoskeleton snaps right off, and the main piece is just a slip on.

I ordered one because of this thread. Also got an HDMI cable and a screen protector. So, thanks!

so if anyone cares, after 3 days of using the active case, i've decided to go back to the innocase surface.

what i got out of the 3 days of use is that it causes more heat, prevents my battery from charging when tethered(probably because of the heat) and picks up quite a bit of lint. im also getting sick of pressing the power button. i'd suspect that after a month or two of use, the rubber power area will probably get worn down. i started using my fingernail to press it too. i doubt that would be good for the case.

interesting but i have none of these problems and i'm picky as hell.

Interesting...mine has no heat issue and maybe just a tad more lint than platinum...more like dust. I do agree about the power button though.

well the only case i have to compare with is the surface case.

i should mention only the silicone area of the active case picks up the lint. it's a pain to clean off. well not that bad but i dont feel like getting my shirt to rub off the lint/dust that often.

ive had the phone tell me that it's overheatting(in one of the battery apps). With the surface case, i'd guess the temps were nearly 10 degrees lower. probably isnt a big deal, but like i said, i think this preventing the battery from charging as efficiently. oh and also, this is while im USB/wifi tethering.

i really wanted to like this case, but i dont see how it's that much better than the surface case. i may switch over to the active if im headed on like an outdoor trip or something though.

FYI, just got mine today. It fits into the belt clip for the Innocase II as well. It's a bit unruly, but it does fit.

Mine came in today! It smells like burned rubber, but it doesn't bother me much. I love this case!!

Just got my case today, honestly the BEST case I have ever owned. This case feels great and looks great as well, can't beat the price for the quality!!

i love this Active case but i wonder why Seidio did the little fingernail cut out for the battery back cover notch? i don't think you can take the back cover off if you have the case on so what's the point? just curious.

again - this case is AWESOME regardless!

Haha no clue. I figured it was for some sort of lanyard but that theory doesn't really work out either
