I like the "X" style as well.

As far as swapping the exoskeleton, I would want to own the colors, but dont want to pay the full amount to receive both pieces.

It looks like the new design would do a better job of clamping down the sides of the phone. The exoskeleton has spots where it pull back when you rub your fingers on the edge of the screen.

Yeah, I'd love to be able to buy just the colored skeleton... Heck, I'd buy all three colors.

Well I've not held nor seen the standard in person (Feel free to send me one , but I own the limited edition X design...

Besides the need for my tissue fix for the power button, I LOVE the X design.. would love it even more if you offered the back X part separately, I'm debating returning the black within 180 and getting the red, but would pay under $10 for optional colored backs. Hell If you had a 'multi-pack' say the rubber part and all 4 colors, I'd be willing to have spent a bit more on it.

The part I like the best about the colored versions anyway, is the offset of the black vs color.. the standard one looks like it wasn't sure what color it wanted to be.

The process according to Seidio in the email they sent when I complained about the power button issue was

I ordered mine on the 14th, it shipped on the 22nd with Super saving shipping and I'm still waiting on it. The original prediction was July 1st.

i like the Original Active Limited Edition Black on Black "X" Exoskeleton one that i bought best. it is holding up very well and doing its job protecting my EVO! you need to keep making these for all future phones that come out. IMO this case is the best engineered, best design i have ever seen. tell the team GREAT job on this one and THANKS!

I recently returned the Best Buy Platinum case because dust and stuff got in the case and rubbed against the phone causing scuffs and scratches. All in all the plastic Platinum case damaged my phone so I returned it.

I'm wondering if buying the Seidio limited edition off of ebay would be a better option. Will dust get in that case and if so will it cause more damage to my phone? Or since it's silicone I don't have to worry about it damaging my phone?

Also, what is the best option to go with buying a seidio case? The limited edition? or is there other silicone skins with a skeleton case that fits around it?

These 2 are completely different cases. The Seidio Innocase II Surface (which is the same as the Platinum I believe) used to have this issue, but not anymore. The Active definitely won't scratch, because of the rubber silicon layer. Right now you have the choice of getting the Active Limited Edition from Amazon, or getting the Active (newer model?) from Seidioonline.com

I think I still prefer the Limited Edition exoskeleton over the new look. BTW I told myself the exact same thing, and to see if I could go for a few days without a case. But on the second day I dropped my Evo on its back, straight on the floor. It was only about 3 feet off the hardwood floor so no visible damage, but now I'm going with a case for sure lol.

I agree. I have had the Platinum case, White case from Sprint, Innocase II and the active and I would have to say the active is the best case for the money. It fits the best, feels the best, and looks the best. you cant go wrong.

It was tough decision... Active Limited case from Amazon or the newer Active case direct from Seidio...

Well I pulled the trigger on the Active case (Black as Black is whack! ) direct from Seidio.

I see they are coming out with an Active case/holster combo. Will be the holster be offered seperately to people who already own the case??
