Wow, I got extremely lucky. They're shipping mine out of Kentucky (a few hours from where I live). My case should be here sometime today.

OMG I never knew about this rule. Been researching it a bit, and it looks like this rule has a break for GPS devices

(12) A portable Global Positioning System (GPS), which may be mounted in a 7-inch square in the lower corner of the windshield farthest removed from the driver or in a 5-inch square in the lower corner of the windshield nearest to the driver and outside of an airbag deployment zone, if the system is used only for door-to-door navigation while the motor vehicle is being operated ( )2.

Still pretty restrictive, but it seems like it IS LEGAL to mount a GPS system to your windshield. Does anyone know which part of the windshield this part is referring to: "lower corner of the windshield nearest to the driver"?

Just got the case. 1st impression is that it has a very "rubbery" feel to it and the power button is harder to push down. Other than that, the OP nailed everything about the case. Right now I have the White case from the Sprint Store, the Platinum Case from BB and now this one. I'm gonna return the platinum case b/c this Seidio Limited is definitely worth the $25 and the best case of the 3.

I followed up on what seidioseidio said about the rugged releasing on the Seidio site today. The rep said it's coming today and is expected to be $50, but that was an assumption. I'm returning the pt case today and the body glove when my rugged case gets here. Also, there's free shipping on the seidio site until the 20th and 10% off purchases for father's day...

Rugged is out! Now you have 3 options: Innocase II Surface, Innocase Active, and Innocase Rugged. The Active still seems to be a good middle ground between bulk and protection.

PPB - IMO Seidio should send you every case they make for a video review. you probably sold a lot of the Actives here based on your review.

i just checked out the cheap silicone gel skin case sold at Best Buy and Sprint. they are sold for about $15. IMO there are some problems with these cases because the silicone is VERY THIN -

1. doesn't provide much protection if dropped.
2. side lips are very loose and very easy for debris to accumulate under the case.
3. over time the thin silicone will stretch out/rip and get ever more loose on the case and clumsy to the point of almost falling off.
4. gel material is VERY TACKY/STICKY and makes it difficult to pocket and unpocket the device. also easily attracts/accumulates lint on the outside.

it appears that the Seidio Active case is a thicker more durable resilient material gel with a lot less of a tacky feel.

i get mine tomorrow so i will let you know!

my ACTIVE case from Seidio just arrived! VERY VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks to pingpogboss for the excellent review/recommendation.

historically i HATE cases and prefer to go naked but with this phone and 4.3" of glass i felt i needed some protection. the ACTIVE case adds a nice tight quality grip with quality materials and not a lot of thickness or weight. the silicone is not very sticky tacky so it does not cling to your clothing when inserting/removing from pocket AND debris does not cling to it. it's a very nice fit! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!

I just got my Seidio case as well. I love it. I have always purchased Seidio products for all of my phones and this one feels and looks the best. I have no regrets so far. It feels nice and has the perfect amount of protection I need. Now if the just produce a holster for it I would be much happier.

I also got my cases earlier today and I must say out of all the case I've had in the past this by far the best.Anyone with a EVO that is looking for a great case this is your best bet.
