[Review] Seidio Innocase Active Limited Edition

i still love my Black on Black Active X Exoskeleton. the need to continue that design forever. i want one for my EVO 2 and beyond!

Just a quick followup:

As I mentioned originally I like the Amazon Limited edition "X" style better. As many on here have also stated..

I finally decided to contact Seidio directly to see about getting just the colored backs, either individually or in a multi-pack since I bought mine just before they announced the colored ones.

I just got off the phone with a Seidio rep and I have bad news for anyone waiting for colored backs..

According to the rep I talked to, the Amazon listed Limited Edition is produced by Amazon.com and NOT by Seidio. Seidio is unable to order or provide any sort of replacement for parts of these cases. Any questions regarding these cases are supposed to go through Amazon it seems.

It sounds basically like some sort of licensing agreement which would support why it's not on SeidioOnline.com anyway.

The rep couldn't even tell me if the Sage listed on Amazon is different than the Sage listed on the non-limited edition from Seidio directly.

So I'm off to send an email to Amazon, but based on past experiences with this kind of thing I'm not holding my breath. I think Amazon simply will tell me (and others) to buy multiple cases if you want a different color

I hate to buy another case myself, and could still return the one I have since it's under the 30day warranty but don't think I want the hassle at this point.

I think if there are any Seidio reps out there reading, that between the problems with the original Surface case and the way this Limited Edition product was rolled out and is being handled, that Seidio might want to pay a bit more attention to customer trends and feedback than they have been doing recently.

I agree! They need to sell the backs due to the fact I want the red and purple backs. I rely don't want to buy two cases if the only thing that is different is the colors.

I have the platinum case from BB. I took it off after a week, and boy does the EVO feel better without the case. And Damn it looks great without. Think I will only put the case on when i go to work.

I want to clarify a few things. The Innocase Active Limited Edition is produced by Seidio and not Amazon.com. Although we produce it, they are selling it exclusively so they handle the shipping and any replacement issues you may have.

The color of paint is the same. The Sage color on our website is the same color Sage that is listed for the Innocase Active Limited Edition. The difference between the case listed on our website and the one listed on Amazon.com is the design of the exoskeleton.

Thanks for the clarification.. can you tell us which Green picture is correct then? If you look at your photo on your site, vs the 'same color' Sage green on Amazon, they are clearly different. Which picture more closely represents the real world color?

And if you're taking suggestions, if it's the Amazon photo which is the real green, then I'll probably end up forking over yet another $30 just to get it. If it's the dark green from your website.. well Amazon will have one more unit to sell to someone else

The more I look at it, it is closer in color to the one on the Seidio site (the one on Amazon looks like it has more blue in it). Hope that helps.

That's what I thought when I convinced myself to go case-less for a week. But on the 3rd day, I dropped my Evo smack on its back camera lens. No damages but now I'm always going to have a case (the Active Limited Edition in fact) protecting it.

Man if they had an "EVO Red" X style, I'd be all over it. Matching the red bezel around the camera and under the kickstand would up the pantie dropper status.

Anyway... any chance for you to put up a few pictures of the actual case? I'd like to try to see exactly what the color looks like when it's not a promotional photo which was probably photoshopped anyway.

I love the Amazon look myself, the brightness contrasts with the black nicely.

pingpong - can we expect any more reviews from you? you probably sold dozens of Active X cases for Seidio with your review! they should send you all of their (good) stuff to review!
