Possible bug.... Keep getting FC Android.process.acore.... Installed ROM 24 hours ago. Happened at least 10 times now. Doesn't seem to affect anything except whatever app I'm using usually closes too.

Thats the system shutting down. Are you trying to run facebook with out the social network pack?

Do you have the facebook app installed? If so, this is the cause. I was getting this too, there's something wrong with how the facebook app attempts to sync with the phone contacts, which causes the contacts app to FC.

Yeah, thats why I posted that zip file to flash. Should be no problem after you flash it.

BUt yes, flashing the secondary zip will be the same as flashign a ROM.

This is my first time rooting, so I'm kind of lost. Any help is greatly appreciated. I was able to follow online instructions to unlock my bootloader and one click root. I downloaded Amon Ra to my PC and also to my phone via the QR code, but I have no idea how to flash it to my phone now. I know this probably something pretty simple, but I'm missing that step.

Once I download a recovery or a ROM how do I flash it to my phone? I tried rebooting into recovery by holding down volume and the power key, but it won't boot my phone. Help please??

Download recovery to you desktop...

Flash the recovery using my tool here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/re...nflash-1-0-flash-boot-recovery-img-easil.html

From there download the ROM to you SD card and then boot into recovery and choose wipe data, then wipe all data / factory reset. Then choose Install zip then choose zip....

Not to sound cliche but difficulty is completely perceptual. For me its extremely easy to do. If you hav enot done it before it will be very nerve wracking and confusing... But not difficult. Unless of course you consider that difficulty.

I have made some tools on this forum that make the process a lot more simple....

Steps...

1. Unlock bootloader at HTCDev.com
2. Install Custom Recovery using CleanFLASH: http://forums.androidcentral.com/re...nflash-1-0-flash-boot-recovery-img-easil.html
3. Install ROM with your new Recovery!

Its no hard... Just new terminology to get used to. If you need help just ask. Myself and many others are very good at this stuff. I have seen pretty much every possible scenario of what could go wrong and can bring you back from the brink of death... Have no fear!

Special Notes

1. New-> Auto Name Suggestion Note:
   

   Auto name suggestion for text and email is disabled for performance. If you need this enabled download the attachment to this post. This will bring back auto name suggestion but you will see modest performance hit. Still should get 3K in quads, not much further though.

   
   
2. New-> You need to flash the "Social Network Frameowrk.zip" file on the root of SD Card after you flash the ROM. The social network framework was removed because I dont use it. You flash the zip just like you flash a ROM. It will automagicallly appear after you flash the ROM.
   
   
3. Post #3 will be list of all user contributions and add-ons for the ROM. If you want to share your work post it in the thread and I will add to this list

Going forward I will have that file on the SD card or contemplate putting it back to stock and putting the tweaked version on the SD Card.

With the stock libs I was still hitting about 3K even in Quads....

You guys be the judges... Pure power or Auto Name Suggestion?

I installed Clean ROM 1.2 no problems everything went good. Then I installed Clean ROM 1.3 and everything is fine until I turn the phone off and charge it. After it is fully charged and I turn it back on it goes into a boot loop. I can turn the phone off and on and no problem. It only goes into the boot loop after I turn it off and charge it. I put Clean ROM 1.2 back on and it works with no problems.

Did you try a data/cache wipe before upgrading? Also 1.4 is out, maybe give that whirl instead.

While I'm here..Scott, are the two packages for the 4g hotspot in the "files removed from /system/app" zip file on your site? Someone I'm trying to help wants to run CleanRom but they actually pay VZW for the hotspot.
