I am S-OFF, and still on the factory ROM. I had WIFI router issues on my new N router, but don't think I had them before on m old G router. I had to download an app from the market called WiFi fixer. it insures that I stay connected to my WiFi. Without it I had the same symptoms as you. However I could disable wireless and then reconnect to my WiFi and it would work. A couple times now I had 3G/4G connectivity issues. I think did have to do a quick reboot to make it work.
I re-flashed, and so far issue is gone, i am keeping an eye on it. I think it might have been something i restored using titanium, which i wont use anymore because the only thing i really wanted from it, was to restore my mms, and the last time it didn't.....
Glad its working for you now.... Also If you sync device with google and let it make back ups it will sync your MMS automagically!
Really?.. So far ihave been able to sync everything but mms and txt with google... I don't know why..
Will keep reading..
Thx
Sir, your donation is GREATLY appreciated!New to Android and Rooted last night. Flashed this ROM this morning and really liking it so far. Thanks for your time and have a couple beers on me. :-$ on the way.
Every is a newb... ONCE! lolSorry for this question...but i am a noob and i am just started to learn flash/root, how do you wipe caches? and what does this do?? Thanks in advance
Basically... go ahead and do a dirty flash of the update.. but if anything goes wrong.. thats the first thing that is gonna be told. DO a clean flash...Every is a newb... ONCE! lol
Wiping cache / dalvik /etc is done in recovery mode. It just cleans up the junk from the old ROM so the new ROM doesnt have any conflcits.
If you do a Wipe / Factory reset in recovery it will wipe everything that needs to be wiped for a completely clean install (the ROM wipes /system)
You can try to upgrade ROMS (not receomened for optimal compatibility and performance) by just wiping the /cache and dalvik cache and then install ROM. This generally lets you keep all your apps and settings because /data is not wiped.
Also, some mods require you to wipe /cache and dalvik because they change some core system files. Those mods will be labeled as such before you download them.
Hope that answers it. If not let me know.
