I am new to the Evo3d. I have the hboot 1.5 and did the HTC Unlock method, have TWRP, and root access. When I go to flash this ROM it says:

--Verify md5 for /sdcard/CleanROM_2.9.5.zip
--No md5 file found. ignoring

Is the no md5 file found normal or am I doing something wrong?? I have flashed Scott's CleanRom and everything works(data,WiFi, ect.) Just curious if this is normal or not.

Question for the group. I'm on Hboot 1.5 and I want to run a couple of things in Rom Updater. Namely, the battery icon, smooth scrolling, and remove ad blocker.

I installed the rom using flash image GUI. Do I need to use that to flash the things through rom updater, do I need to use the PC to flash those, or can I just go into TWRP and flash them?

Any help would be appreciated.

Apparantly I can't just flash through TWRP. I'm now stuck on the Sprint start up screen. Phone is now rendered useless. If anyone can be kind enough to help me recover this phone, I'd appreciate your help.

I definitely should have made one.
I'm taking the phone to a friend who may be able to fix it.
Wouild still be nice to know exactly how to run stuff I download from rom updater If I use this rom again.

Didn't realize I needed to. When I was on 1.4, I used to be able to just go in and flash the zip from whatever I downloaded from rom updater.

I have a feeling I need to install them now through ADB, but not sure what I should be doing.

Something went funky, ROM updater is compatible with 1.5. Which TWRP are you on?

This is a just a suggestion and you take on all risks, but I am telling you my approach if I was in your situation.

I am thinking you may be able to replicate what flash gui does with a computer by:
1. Unzip the ROM and find the boot.img and save it in the same file folder of your fastboot (used to unroot your phone)
2. boot your phone into fastboot by holding volume down and the power button and starting up in bootloader
3. selecting fastboot on the phone, then connecting your computer via usb to send fastboot commands via your command window
4. then type the following command (note that the last part is the boot.img file from the ROM):

fastboot flash boot boot.img

I hope this gets you rebooting correctly again. You should be able to save your files if it is not running right and re-install your ROM

I am also working on another ROM currently... Its going to be called Sense-Less ROM (or something similar) because it will be a stripped down ROM with ONLY Android, No HTC or Sprint stuff on it. Right now I am testing it and its booting with 600+ megs of free memory and is stupid fast. Its on the Alpha stage... Few more days to a week and I should have what I want. This will be a perfect ROM for those that dont like Sense and want to use there favorite launcher.

Have you made any further progress on this? It sounds awesome.

Edit: I really don't know why I didn't just search for it. Thanks for the work you do.

My first time rooting and I really enjoy the simplicity of the newest CleanROM. The only question I have is that Peep is still installed...how do I remove it? I don't see the .apk when doing an ls of the /system/app folder

I did read through about 100 of these pages but was not able to find a clear answer.

When you flash to a completely new ROM you always want to do a full factory reset. If you are just reflashing the same ROM, clearing the caches should be enough.

Anyone have any luck flashing Beats Audio onto their CleanRom??

I am on rom reborn. I also want to know how I can get rid of a lot of the apps and programs that i wont ever use to to debloat my phone or has this arleady been done for me with this Rom?

I believe Scott has removed most of the sprint bloat from the phone. Sense is still pretty much intact, and he has added a few helper apps that are pretty cool. I like the way the pull down works with this version of CleanRom.
