[ROM][4.19.2011] Das BAMF 1.5

You should be fine installing straight over 1.1. If you have force closes or can't get it to boot, then you can go back and clear cache, data or whatever else.

i'm moving from the stock thunderbolt ROM to 1.3

do i need to flash the kernel and install the ROM separately? it says the kernel is included in 1.3. kinda of confused after reading these posts concerning 1.1 and 1.2 :/

If i do need to install the ROM via CWR and flash the kernel via FASTBOOT, which order of those things should i do? ROM first or Kernel first?

The 1.2GHz kernel is included with the rom and flashed via CWM. He just included the kernel in case someone flashes another kernel and wants to go back instead of having to flash the whole rom again.

meh, Quadrant is just for bragging rights as it's flaky and dependent on other factors since some people have more loaded than others. Plus you can run it now and then run it again and get completely different numbers. Just now, I jumped from 1700 the first time to 2016 the second time I ran it.

Will I be able to just download version 1.3 and install if no other previous versions were installed before?

I only got 1950 on my quadrant score. Any ideas why others are scoring so much higher?

Quadrant is just mostly for showing off. If you really, really want a high quadrant score, search XDA for Drod's 1.8GHz Kernel. It's on there somewhere. That should give you a quadrant score of around 2800. The 1.5GHz I was using gave me 2660-2700. It also kills battery life but if speed is what you want speed is what you'll get!

nooby questions here.

from what i understand to install the rom you caa just load it with rom manager, but what about the kernel.
sorry if this has been asked, in a rush heading out on a hot date.

from what I understand both the ROM and the Kernel are included in the 1.3. You can install it via Rom Manager.

There have been some issues reported however by just installing 1.3 without installing 1.1, then upgrading to 1.2 and finally upgrading to 1.3 without erasing any data.

To be safe if I were you, I would install 1.1. Then install 1.2 over it (View it as an upgrade), and finally install 1.3 (also as an upgrade). Only wipe the data for the first install of 1.1 and not for the rest.

1 question... since the kernel source was released, the appropriate kernels (like Adrynalyne's new version 1.9) are now able to be flashed through clockwork, not hboot or fastboot, right?

Just installed the 1.3 rom via CWR. Treated as an update from 1.2, did not clear any cache. Perfect install.

Another (+) perk was that apparently the included kernel was also installed by CWR! Up until now i've been fastboot flashing kernels. I was pleasantly surprised to see the OC'd kernel after i flashed the rom. Also the Wifi "error" problems I had with the previous kernels are GONE!

So far i'm liking this new ROM. I am very happy with the new transitions, they are super quick and speedy. One thing i wish for is the PREVIOUS look of the accurate battery! Love the slimmer looking lines and the numbers. Just little niggles...

Thanks Adrynalyne!

Woot woot.

Flashed this rom, installed the launchkey app, now i'm trying to find the function or app I need to map it to to load the "Personalize Display" that the UI original behavior was mapped too... it appears that it's not possible...which is a bit lackluster for something that allows you to have more flexibility

I'm sure they added launchkey so you could map another function to that button. You can still access the personalize menu by holding down on the home screen OR by tapping the menu key.

Map something like the camera to the launch key button! Have fun!

Just went through installing and upgrading to the current version, and all I can say is WOW. This phone is blazing fast now. Thanks for this!

Has anyone had any issues with video players after installing this ROM? I've tried both Rock Player and Soul Player and my videos won't play.

am i the only one not seeing this in CWM? i see the other kernels but i dont see 1.3 rom.........

any definitive word on if i have to go to 1.1 to .2 to .3 first or can i go from stock TB to this?

So I have quick question if anyone can answer Adrynalyne posted about having the correct version of Clockworld from Rom Manager. My question is what is the correct version 3.0.2.2 or 3.0.2.4 in which some in that thread toward the end was having problems with.

One more can I just start with 1.3 if coming from just being rooted, Stock Rom and go from there.

Just download file to sd card, and install via cwm from there. The kernel and rom are all in one file.

I would definitely wipe once and start from 1.1, and upgrade from then on. That's what I did and everything is working just fine.
