[ROM][4.19.2011] Das BAMF 1.5

I installed 1.3 on top of my freshly rooted phone...all I did was download 1.3 and booted into recovery ..I did wipe data and cache and the Rom and made a backup . The Rom loaded right up no issues at all!

unstable

This mod is extremely unstable.. installed the latest 1.3 after a wipe.

I've had a lot of apps crash, my network was locked down until i rebooted. Immediately flashed mik's rom and went back to smooth sailing.

It's late but where is the backup assistant after loading 1.3? I would like to get my contacts back.

Check the first page, Adrynalyne's first post near the bottom under "Patches". Looks like you have to install it via Clockwork Recovery.

Flashed this rom, installed the launchkey app, now i'm trying to find the function or app I need to map it to to load the "Personalize Display" that the UI original behavior was mapped too... it appears that it's not possible...which is a bit lackluster for something that allows you to have more flexibility

Do you really need a third way to launch the same menu?? That seems a little redundant to me. Just long press the home screen or hit menu>personalize.

can someone post an exact rundown of the steps needed to do this?

or atleast clarify if this is right:

back up current rom

run Ti backup (is this the same as nandroid backup?)

flash CWM

wipe device

wipe cache

wipe dalvik cache

install 1.1 from SD card

install 1.2 skipping wipe steps

install 1.3 skipping wipe steps

restore Ti backup

am i forgetting anything? just trying to get the ropes down before i do this for the first time!!!

I would do:
Put 1.3 on SD card
1. Backup using Ti Backup (not the same as nandroid, this just backs up the settings for the apps that you use so you can bring them over)
2. Flash CWM if you haven't already (no need to each time you do recovery, just once)
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Use the backup option ... it can take awhile.
5. Install 1.3
6. You just have to use the "Wipe data & cache" ... it wipes everything in one step.
7. Reboot, wait for awhile (first boots take the longest)
8. Restore Ti backup for apps you need.

Finally, Enjoy.

havin sum issues. looked at set cpu. my max is only 1000mhz...did a backup to just after i installed BAMF1.3 and everything back to normal....why? when i woke up this morning was it only 1000?

Has anyone had any issues with video players after installing this ROM? I've tried both Rock Player and Soul Player and my videos won't play.

Following up on my question from last night. I've since installed 1.3 with a full wipe and still had this issue. Should I try from 1.1 and move up?

I also revered to stock with no issues and installed "The Perfect Storm" with no issue. I however like this ROM much more than those 2.

Would anyone happen to have any tips? Thanks!

I'm on 1.3. I wiped for 1.1 and upgraded to 1.2 and then 1.3 all in one night. I like it a lot, but I am having trouble using the simple calendar widget (in the simi clock style).

The simi clock widget is fine, but when I try to add the simple calendar widget http://market.android.com/details?id=com.anod.calendar , I get a force close. I really like the style of this calendar and being able to see my day on my homescreen. Has anyone else had this issue?

I did do an app restore with titanium backup, maybe this affected it? I have uninstalled and reinstalled the calendar program, but it still wont work.

I'd be open to other calendars with my events , but I would like it to look similar to simiclock layout.

Thanks!

Losing Data connection sporadicly. That in itself isn't odd inside my office from time to time. However now when I lose it regardless of what the data indicator says afterwards (3g, 1x) none of my services can connect again unless I reboot the phone.

Its happened 3 times in the last two days. I'm not sure if the ROM is to blame but I figured Id log it in here anyway. Thanks.

Got the 1.3 loaded, first time using all this custom ROM and stuff. Came from DX and BB Stroms. I like the speed of this thing! Still need to learn the proper way to backup and all the stuff, do ROM installs always reset all your setting/apps everytime? What about when updating a ROM? Still a bit new to this. Thanks! I'm buying someone a beer!

I guess I'm the only one running into this problem:

Went from Stock -> ADB root process -> BAMF 1.1 -> BAMF 1.2. Flashed Das_BAMF 1.3 via ROM manager and get stuck in a boot loop. The phone will not go past the initial HTC boot screen, it just loops.

I have to pull the battery and flash the 1.1/1.2 kernel (PG05IMG.zip from op) in fastboot to get the phone to boot fully. Tried flashing the 1.3/OC kernel in fastboot and the same thing happens - back to loop.

Original kernel and ROM were stock. I can't get the OC kernel to work with BAMF 1.3. Haven't tried Adryn's 1.9 kernel yet. Plus wifi will not enable in BAMF 1.3 w/ the 1.1/1.2 kernel. It just says "error" when trying to enable. Rebooting and the airplane mode workaround don't resolve that issue.

So I'm on BAMF 1.2 w/ its kernel and enjoying it.

Anyone having flaky gps? Beginning to think I'm on a pre-DL09 Fascinate again. lol

That sucks, I used ROM Manager to load 1.3. I never did the previous ones. Like I said, 1st timer. Hope you get it taken care of.

Happened twice more today. Discovered Toggling Airplane Mode also rectifies the issue. So no more need to restart but still an odd quirk.
