New addon, on the first post.
a new rotating Dialer....DANG!!!!!
New addon, on the first post.
First, if you have launcher pro set as default when you press home button, clear that in applications and use the launcher included in your ROM (AOSP)..then go into your app drawer and see if the missing apps are there..if they are it's probably lp..
Then..go back into LP.. (hit home key and select from list)
Go to preferences..
Make sure you don't have them "hidden" with the LP feature of hidden apps. I would check that
If that doesn't work...and your willing to reset up LP (depending on how many tweeks you got going) I would go into applications and clear the LP data and cache.. and recheck..
Still no go... go into your file manager and see if the .apk files are there for the app your looking for..if not redownload..
What does this app do that's different from the community ROM?pull the sms.apk out of the SC2.9 file and place it in the system/app file using root explorer or similar program.
Unless my phone was doing some crazy stuff - none of that should be the issue. I haven't been hiding apps, they're all still there in the All applications area. I did just clear the phone's cache and dalvik, and it happened to work. No guarantees that it came from doing that, as they've all been gone before and then upon another restart showed back up. I may try to clear the LP cache like you mentioned since I don't have a lot done as of right now. Thanks for the help. And as of right now, I have a full app drawer again.
sometimes a simple reboot fixes this as well... try that if it happens again
Hold down volume up, volume down, and power buttons until you see samsung logo flash for second time. As soon as you see samsung for second time, let go of all three buttons. This will boot you directly to CWM. Scroll to mounts and storage, make sure it says unmount in front of the top four - system, data, dbdata, & I can't remember what the 4th is. Then hit menu soft key to go back one page, scroll to advanced, power button, scroll to fix permissions, power button, wait for it to finish. Menu soft key back to the main cwm page, power button to reboot. See if you get FC.

Look up in the sky! it's a bird, it's a plane! It's Landshark?
Sharky, pick off the attached file before the mods get me. I think you'll like it

I rooted my phone awhile back and decided its time to upgrade to froyo. My current setup is:
Hardware version: i500.04
Firmware version: 2.1-update 1
Baseband Version: S:i500.04 V.DL09
Kernel version: 2.6.29
Build Number: SCH-I500.DJ05
I read a good number of pages on this thread and the first step was to get back to stock DL09 before i flash ED01 modem and i was wondering how to get back to stock DL09. Any help would be appreciated
with your baseband being DL09 and build being DJ05, you are basically already stock DL09

What do I open rhe sc29 file with since its a .tar file?
So I rom'd this yesterday morning. Since then I've been having pretty (what I consider) serious data connectivity issues. It seems that if you hide signal strength for one that kills your data connection. I tried hiding and un-hiding several times to make sure it wasn't coincidence and I had no data every time it was hidden. I've not had it hidden since I discovered this, but problems still persist. Nearly every time I open an app that needs data connectivity, it errors saying there's no connection. I also can not upload photos to FB. I've wiped cache, power cycled the phone a few times over the past few hours and the problem still persists. Anyone else having issues like this? Sorry if this was covered in a previous post. At work and I don't have time to read all 60 pages lol
so i should just backup all my stuff then flash to ED01 using odin correct?
What I was trying to ask is.. what does the SMS app from 2.9 do that's so great people want it back?the sms.apk is just the sms app from superclean 2.9 where I said to pull it from. the system/app file is just the folder on your phone. I don't understand your question.
I will have to wait until I get home to check that out. Work computer has software blocking a lot of stuff.

I don't recall what the SMS app even was.
