I respectfully disagree, and don't like the trend of confounding performance (ROM/kernel) and appearance (theme). I believe that it's good to have choices for each, but think it's much better to choose them independently.
I was interested in Myn based on a lot of talk in the forums, but the appearance just isn't to my taste so I've never loaded it. That's not to say the appearance of Myn is bad, just that it doesn't work for me personally. The Myn "look" locks me out of what otherwise appears to be a ROM with some good performance features.
Closer to home, as much as I like the new framework for AC-ROM, strategically I preferred the way it worked in 2.6 - custom icons were a separate, optional install. (Which I chose to do, but liked having the choice).
Keep the two separate!
