FYI
Miss count down timer in world clock. Can someone recommend an alternative?

Yeah, I missed the timer almost immediately. I use it constantly in the lab.

I ended up downloading Measured Timer, and it's working out pretty well for me so far. If anything, I like the UI better - much faster to set than the Sense timer. Wish it was a little louder and/or I could pick the alarm sound though.

i just want to go on record that i get nothing but force close with google search app /widget. also my internet seems to be going abnormally slow even with full bars. Does not seem normal. I have run all past ROMs before and this is the only one i have ever had problems with.

Anybody else try google and see what happens?

Does google search have an update for you in the market? Try clearing it's cache in settings.

there was no update in the downloads, but i did download a fresh copy somehow. when i searched "google search" the link did not show i had it downloaded or installed. It does seem that this re-download version fixed the issue. I dont know why it messed up o did not carry over from my titanium back up correctly, this has never happened.........

Good work on the ROM too, i keep noticing the little details you were talking about. =) thanks!

I like the reboot option, seems very useful. I hate when I restart and i have to pause a little and press the button to get going again. also the %# on the battery icon is new i think. My battery does seem to go a little quicker today for some reason though kind of. Maybe because i was messing around so much though. Or maybe the #s on there are throwing me off and making me look at the battery more. I also noticed the changes in flashlight APP. And i think with the last 2.6 everything did seem a lot quicker and smoother with the PFS higher.... good work!

EDIT: I just a little idea, i dont know how hard it would be or if anybody else might find it interesting. For example in handcent sms if you go to NOTIFICATION SETTINGS, then VIBRATION PATTERN you can change the vibration pattern for incoming txt.... is there any way for you to add that somewhere to the phone to have a different vibrate options for PHONE CONTACTS and UNKNOWN #s somehow ? It might be useful when in vibrate mode to know if its a known or unknown # just by the vibration pattern. Just a thought though.

@thefred

You're ok with a full wipe and flash? I'm not seeing what you're seeing so I can't test but I have an idea I'd like to try to correct any performance issues you saw so if you agree, later tonight or tomorrow I will PM you a link to a Rom to test but I'll require full wipe, no titanium restore until you're done testing.

Let me know if you're on board or not.

Sure am!

Nice icons. Just flashed. Everything went just fine. Can't wait to see what the battery life looks like.

Ok so I woke up and battery snap said I had 3 days of battery life left! I know that it changes based on usage and that it would only be like that if I didn't do anything at all on the phone, but that's still better than any other ROM I've used. (that was with 87% battery life left, too, and I didn't charge it last night while I was sleeping.)

EDIT: Dumb me wasn't awake enough to take a screen shot, but next time I notice it I will and will post it here.

mail not updating

It seems to me that mail doesn't update properly. I am using the regular mail account (not gmail).

This mail icon shows a number of the amount of emails that are retrieved on a daily basis, set to update every 10 minutes.

Problem is that it doesn't retrieve the mail every 10 minutes -- i need to do a refresh.

i found out im also having problems sending MMS picture txts... everytime i send, with reception bars ..... i just get spinning icon and eventually times out and gets Generic Network Failure. I'm still doing some test to figure it out and find out if its my phone or area im in, or what. Im waiting to hear back from people to find out if they actually got the picture or not. I think 1 of them may have gone through even though i got the error.

I hate when people dont reply back when you need an answer, what is the point of having a cell, especially when you know they are not busy.

That stinks you cant send texts but you should probably give a call to Sprint and see what they can do. The messenging in the ROM works just fine for me and passed all testing. Also if it was broken on any sort of mass scale you'd surely see this thread filled up with posts pretty quickly.

Another thing I've seen people on forums saying is they experience issues with MMS sometimes when they have wifi on so maybe check that before calling Sprint. You can also send text messages to yourself if you just want to play around and test stuff. Might save you some time.

Good luck!

i dont have problems sending regular txt, just picture messages with this new ROM. Yeah i figured it has to be isolated to me because like you said, the foum would be flooded, but i know ROM maker is so good he would have let that happen in the first place. I know wifi isnt on, i keep everything off to save battery.

I will use that tip of sending to myself, thats a good idea. I never thought of that to test things, thanks!

I love the AC Roms. Best every as far as battery life and stability. Now with that being said...I have been running Myn for the past five days and I love this one too. I think the look of it [icons (3g, 4g, gps, msg notification etc)], transperant notifications bar and widgets, different default font. It's just as stable too. My only complaint about it is that the battery life is not as good as AC. I get about 2 to 4 more hours with AC. Maybe a lil more.

I say that to ask, are you all planning on doing some extra "sexy" stuff with AC rom. I wanted to get away from the stock look. Have you all seen the default Myn ROM?

I respectfully disagree, and don't like the trend of confounding performance (ROM/kernel) and appearance (theme). I believe that it's good to have choices for each, but think it's much better to choose them independently.

I was interested in Myn based on a lot of talk in the forums, but the appearance just isn't to my taste so I've never loaded it. That's not to say the appearance of Myn is bad, just that it doesn't work for me personally. The Myn "look" locks me out of what otherwise appears to be a ROM with some good performance features.

Closer to home, as much as I like the new framework for AC-ROM, strategically I preferred the way it worked in 2.6 - custom icons were a separate, optional install. (Which I chose to do, but liked having the choice).

Keep the two separate!

You can flash any theme that's made for froyo ROMs. I've seen themes out there that are actually themed after MYN's warm.

Point taken. Something we can certainly consider.

Didn't this start out as a theme or am I wrong? I've seen plenty of other themes that look awesome, too, like the rEVOlution theme.

So were would I find these themes? I know kenny is always talking about how something can be written poorly and cause battery drain. Is that the same case with themes. I just wanted something created by u guys because as we all know u r the absolute best. I know that if a theme or icons were created that it would be of the best non battery draining standard. :) I feel like I am cheating in my wife using another Rom. :)

Thanks for the input.

No it started as a rom with a optional theme if the user wanted to flash it they could.

This is one of those yes and no. Yes a theme can cause battery drain if not done properly or files get crossed.
No- cause most people just take the apks that are already in the rom and make edits so really i shouldn't effect battery life in anyway.
For themes- http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g-roms-hacks/17521-sgbz-evo-themes.html
or check around on xda. The AC-theme has to be reworked to match the new AndroidCentral logo.
