Yes ... Forgive me, I've done so much between yesterday and today I did somehow manage to screw up the images in v1.6 again! I am already running v1.7 that has the images fixed. I will be releasing the next update in another day or two.

Sorry about that its been a rough last 24 hrs. I've probably flashed my phone 10+ times today along trying different mods and updates.

Updated to v1.6 no issues at all. Just curious, but why not include the google search zip in the rom?

Btw, anyone had any success with the auto backup/restore of market apps/settings like we had in Froyo DK28? You also had options reflecting this that would appear under Settings>Privacy.

This hasn't worked for me yet and I was wondering if its worked for any of you. Normally it would say after awhile. "XX apps restored"..

I mentioned this after I updated to official EB13, i noticed that the save to google servers options were gone. so each time i flash i have to redownload my apps.

I haven't had any luck restoring apps that way on any EB13 rom. Do you think this is because EB13 is not officially recognized by the google market yet(the same reason why ppl are unable to see their phones when they log into market.android.com)

I did not have the market restore them automagically - but then I'm not usually patient enough to wait

If I know I might be reflashing a ROM again soon, I backup ALL apps/data in MyBackup Root. Then once I load a new ROM with ODIN and/or CW3, I just use MyBackup to restore them all. This has worked great as it takes only about 5-10 minutes for 41 apps. And after about 5 minutes, all of them show up properly under the Market (click on menu key, show My apps). This allows me to update any of them to new versions. I had 3 of them grab updates today just after the restore from a backup from 2/26 early morning.

FWIW, this saves mucho time and bandwidth over the Market restore method...

Just a FYI, I'm using my latest ACE ROM v1.7 and I'm happy to report I just was at 80% on the battery meter and its correctly displaying the 80% battery mod.

V1.7 will be out soon, I'm waiting more confirmation on the Android Setup Wizard's backup/restore of market apps/settings feature and also looking into some other mods.

That's fantastic! Keep up the great work! Also, don't let the backup / restore thing hold you back too much, my backup and titanium backup work quite well for those that need it.

Anyone who wishes to download and flash a quick update can have their battery mod fixed and retain the same stock theme/battery mod or you can wait until the next update. Your choice.

One thing I can't figure out.... It doesn't look like ACE has the stock GTalk client, and I'll be damned if I can find it in the market. Can anyone point me in the right direction so I can get it reinstalled?

@dtm_stretch, no I wish it was that easy. It worked fine no matter what we did to the ROM on Froyo DK28. Obviously something was disabled by Sammy when they released Froyo EB13 concerning this feature. I have already de-compiled the .apks that control that feature and everything is still there as it was in Froyo DK28 so some little "setting" somewhere has been altered and it could possibly be even on Google's end and not our end.

Until then we can use MyBackup or Titanium to restore .apks and then restore your data.

Thanks, honestly it isn't that big of a deal with myback up root being installed because the market auto populate is slow and I always have to restart downloads and some fail anyway.

*I'm digging the little notes during the installation process.

I have to say the battery life on this rom is amazing right now, even moreso than stock deodexed eb13. Why exactly is this? Is it due to gtalk not being baked in or am I missing something?

Shhhhshhh! Its a secret... Having alot of the bloatware and junk removed helps alot, otherwise some of it runs in the background taking from your overall battery life.

Otherwise I can't tell you or.. well you know the rest of the story... I'm glad your enjoying the ROM.

Yes you need to be rooted running the deodexed version of EB13 Froyo. If your willing to root and install CWM maybe you will come a step further and try some custom roms like mine.

question, is the gtalk restore supposed to be a .zip file? I downloaded it and cannot find it in CWM 3006. Also anyway we can change the boot animation screen?
