Nice just downloaded it..thanks Paul. I like the spinning Android boot screen much better than the droid eye. Also the color at the top of the nav bar is a nice touch. Gotta play around with this ROM a tad more. Also do we have to download that setcpu if I am not going to do any overclocking?

I don't think so for the undervolt. I think you only need SetCPU for the overclock. You could always download Overclock widget from the market too.

^ I just looked over at the XDA thread for genocide .3a and it is now set to 1ghz default. You DO need SetCPU or similar to overclock now.

Planning on flashing this tonight.. A few questions though. I am on CWM 3.0.0.5 with ext4, the latest TER ROM, and the Genocide .3a kernel. It *sounds* like I just need to upgrade the CWM and then flash ACE, correct? When I upgrade CWM, will it re-format it again breaking the bluetooth? By Bluetooth works now and I'd kinda like to keep it....

This ROM is based on Froyo EB13 and you should upgrade to Froyo EB13 to run this ROM. I have seen a few posts where people were still on Froyo DK28 and flashed these EB13 ROMs, but I have no idea what if any conflicts happened.

Thanks Paul, I will do that if I do it. So it will break bluetooth if I do that though, correct?

Just a quick dumb question.

Can i just flash this on toop of ACE ROM v1.6?
You can try, if it starts giving you FC's then you may have to wipe and flash.

I'm not positive on the bluetooth. I don't use one so I can't test.

Just curious if anyone else had this problem, since using ace rom if i leave phone idle for an hour or two it shuts off, the only way to get it back on is to pull the battery and then it will reboot, i wiped the phone with odin back to stock eclair, updated to stock, eb13, then converted to ext4 w cwm3.0.0.6, then loaded rom and still am having same problem, guessing its prob something i did due to being new to this, if anyone has any advice it would be appreciated.

BTW I love rom.

Thanks in advance.

First I've heard of this on ACE.

After running for a few hours, i was browsing the market (reinstalling items) my screen flashed white a few times. After that, i was stuck in a boot loop on the coin screen. I pulled the battery at the beginning of one of the loops. After rebooting, I got the welcome to android screen again and after clearing that a ton of FCs in a row. Tried a CWM repair and clearing data for the apps, but no luck. not sure if something like that is rom or kernel related. I'm in the middle of reverting to EB13, will reinstall the rom and the deodexed kernel.

Paul, what do you think about the syndicate rom and the carrier iq thing?
I downloaded the ROM but have yet to flash it. I actually was going to incorporate the "No Carrier IQ" into ACE last night but after testing it out I was getting FC's so I decided against it at this time.

Overall I think once ACS the bugs completely worked out, it will be great. They know what they are doing and just like anything new and this in depth you will have some bugs that need to be worked out. I like the fact they are giving out the "coding" to any and all ROM developers to incorporate into their own ROMs.

That is what I would do, wipe and reflash. I've been running almost all the updates I did for at least 24 hours or more on some of them and have had no issues. My kids have played Angry Birds and who knows what else they've done while playing and still its running rock solid. Only thing I can say is I normally run my kernel at the 200-1000 setting for the undervolt using SetCPU. I have heard some people occasionally having trouble running the overclock and having some problems but its not necessarily isolated to the Genocide kernel, I've heard of this in the past on overclock kernels on Eclair 2.1.

If I think of anything else I will let everyone know, but like I said things have ran great for over 24 hrs now and thats why I held up releasing the new version to test things out...

It's odd because I did add setcpu and was running at 100-1200, but I did not have it set at boot. I assumed that if there was an overclock or underclock issue that it'd end up working out when I restarted. So far the stockDO kernel is working ok. I've added everything back (for what seems like the billionth time) and made a nandroid. I may end up adding the OC kernel again and see if it was just a fluke.

alrriiiight. 1.7 workin great. setup back just like i had 1.6. gettin easier and easier each time now that im learning the tricks better. just one request....

any chance you can compile a file with the wallpapers in it? i installed the TEP minitheme... i like the dialer and the transparent notification window... and i lost access to all my ACE wallpapers. I normally use LWP but sometimes if im really tryin to conserve battery i go with a normal one.. and i lost all your killer papers :(
