[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

For those who lose media and stuff--use the formula84 GAPPs and be sure to DIRTY FLASH from a prior working build.

I clean flashed and used formula84 custom gaaps (which I've been using for the past couple nightlies). No media problems here.

Happened to me, flashed at work before heading home and noticed on the drive that I can't see media in Gallery. Reflashed and nada, so now I'm here to look for answers. Thanks.

We also have a thread here on it, but so far using Formula84's GAPPs have worked.

I downloaded Gapps but don't understand the part of going back to working build? I rarely to Nandroid going to a nightly, I reflashed 813 since Gallery worked there and tried both Gapps and nothing. Still no gallery sync.

Restore a Nandroid where it worked, dirty from there.

I agree, Did the same thing, clean flash with formula84 standard GAPPS. No auto restore, but no install issues either.

Taken from RW, but it looks like it could be an issue with the newest Rom Manager which puts a .nomedia on the sdcard. Delete both the .nomedia and RM, clear data from apps that were affected, and reboot seemed to solve the issue for some.

Another reason to not like Rom Manager, call me stunned

lol good thing I opted out of that app many moons ago.

Nice catch!

Good to see its not a widespread problem. Luckily, I have not used RM since early in my D1 days. The half dozen times i've had issues with it greatly outweigh any convenience it may offer.

I had to go all the way back to AOKP B40, only Nandroid I have where gallery app works. Last night I kept trying to clean flash JB 813 or 815 and was still having issues with either Gapps as far as the gallery not showing my media, but I think because I kept using TiBu to restore and kept putting RM back in there? The thing is that the Gallery app did show one folder, it was the Instant Upload Picasa one.

Just don't dirty over B40. That would be bad.

I'm good now, back to AOKP JB 815. Did some researsh during lunch and found out about that whole ROM manager issue. I deleted the no media last night but there was other things other that the gallery to clear data in. So I'm back on JB but needed to setup my screens again, and then I'm doing a Nandriod of this JB ROM. Thanks guys.

i am still on b40 and all of the sudden today i have no pics on my gallery none of my ring tons are there i see this has hapend to a few people on here but i didnt change anything just hapend i think i did do a reboot (phone was kinda sluggish thought it may help) should i just wipe and move to 8/17 ? that that would do it? the only thing i use RM for is to make nandoids and i am running frankos 241 384 if that makes a difference

edit: i still have all my pics found them in astro just not in my gallery

It's rom manager. We have a thread on it. Delete it, delete any .nomedia files on your sdcard, and clear cache for all affected apps.

Sure, install the newest one but I would do a full and complete wipe since you're coming from ICS.

And you can make nandroids in CWM manually.

im on JB sorry lol toro jb build 1

thanks again
so delete rom manager
wipe and isntal got it
