[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

Did you try using different kernels? I was having issues at first with build 3, played around with a couple kernels, and now am running smooth with franco's m5.

Yeah, that's what made me go into Google screen bootloop. May have just been a bug with Franco's download app, which I believe has been fixed with the new nightly. I'll get around to giving it another shot though. Now that I have everything ready to flash.

Mine just booted up. Also flashed Franco's M5 with it. So far so good. Running smoothly. I dirty flashed from build 3.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Android Central Forums

Pretty amped for build 4. Been checking out their gerrit tho. Doesn't seem like they've added much yet.
Custom NavBar Ring on tablets
Force dual panel view on any device
Flip or shake your device to snooze/dismiss the alarm (check alarm settings)
Take screenshot from NavBar
Enabled USB mass storage emulation for certain devices (i9*)

Andro transfer seems unusually slow tonight.

Here is a AC only mirror for build 4.

Dirty flashed from build 3 with the PicSync GAPPs, rebooted and flashed the Franco M5 kernel, and all is well so far. I actually had an issue with the stock camera suffering from lag on build 3 (same GAPPs) that didn't go away with a clean flash, but did go away in build 4, so that's certainly an improvement in my book.

Flashed Build 4/gapps after factory reset. Stalls at Google unlock screen, battery pull, goes into boot animation then reboots back to Google unlock screen and stalls. I've gotten it to boot completely once or twice, but most of the time it does this.

Coming from ICS Build 40 AOKP and I can't even restore any of my nandriods now, ClockworkMod Recovery keeps throwing "Error while restoring /data" for all my backups. On latest version of app too.

Any ideas guys?

Especially coming from ICS you likely just didn't give it long enough to boot. First boot times can take several minutes, and you can be stuck at the Google logo for a long time before progressing. Pulling the battery at that point was probably not a great idea though. I would maybe suggest a full wipe and reflash, and just sit patient while its booting up :)

Is a full wipe different than factory reset? I'm guessing so because when I try to factory reset and reflash Build 4 the apps I installed already and settings I changed are there.
I just read in another thread that I need a JB Bootloader... any truth?

Thanks !

Full wipe = Wipe data/factory reset, yes same :)

And yes the JB bootloader should help, but like I said you'll still see long boot times at first, they will correct themselves over time. If you have it go ahead and flash it.. trying to find a link now but the forums are being a little wonky..
