[ROM] Android Open Kang Project- Jelly Bean Style

I've been running the often-despised stock kernel with awesome results. Deep sleeps chills in the 80 percentile, which is beautiful. Performance seems smooth and clean so far, too.

Lol. Maybe I'll try it later.

Do a full wipe.... dirty flashes are no bueno, but especially if you've used different gapps. Either way until you do a clean, full wipe and flash you cannot blame the ROM for issues like that.

The stock kernel is still the one that gets locked at a maximum of 700MHz, which is why people "despise" it. Switching to LeanKernel or the newer beta versions of Faux alleviate the issue entirely. So for those with lag issues, swap to a kernel that has fixed that problem.

Meh, it works. I can say that. You can always dirty from 2 to 3 lol

I'm hearing issues with Corporate email contacts as well... which unfortunately I rely on 100% since my Nexus is a work phone :-(. And Github got messed up for the team so there is no ETA yet for Build 3. Patience is a virtue for excellence I guess.

Does data wipe/factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache considered a full wipe? Thats what Im doing. What am I missing?

Yeah, format system as well.

Are you using something to restore data (i.e. TiBu)? If so do not restore system data or anything to Google apps.

Just wiped with the additional step of format system. Still getting process.com.android.phone force close on reboots. I have rom toolbox pro to reinstall apps but didn't even download it before force close issues pop up

I got the phone FC's because I had some custom ringtones for individual contacts. Once I made them default ringtone and dirty flashed the ROM worked great. No issues.

No custom ringtones....with all the flashing and wiping over n over, I seem to have wiped without flashing the rom zip. So I'm stuck at Google screen with no way to access recovery, even with holding power/volume - keys. So I have no one to blame but myself for being naive enough to think these flashing instructions apply to everyone when simply they do not. There's always that extra step we have to take. Off to fire up the ol desktop and fix this crap.

Always good practice to keep you humble anyways. Cheers.

Hold BOTH volumes and power to boot into the bootloader, volume scroll to recovery, hit power. Then flash away whatever you need from recovery, or restore a backup, etc :)

Downloaded and flashed build 2 from Goo manager. Since then, my phone has been taking random screen shots, even when the screen is off and I assume sleeping. WTF???

Yeah that calls for a full on wipe. I'd also get those hardware buttons checked lol

I asked AOKP on twitter, they said this is the first they had heard of this type of issue. Wiping in the morning after work.

Build 2 is nice and smooth, havent had any problems yet.

Though the past few weeks (M6, JB1, now JB2) I've been getting horrible battery life. If I get an hour of screen time that will be a lot. On Saturday I got 6 hours (28min of screen time) out of the extended battery. Its been awful
