[ROM] Android Open Kang Project

that was too easy, paid and d/led the franco app, flashed the milestone 4 and I am done.

So I'm still trying to figure out what the differences are between ondemand and wheatly governor settings. Outside of one being a reference to Portal.

I just know he prefers it. I got better quadrants for wheatley, FWIW.

I'm on R180, 512 GPU version. Overclocked and loving it. Love the wheatley governor too.

Love the tech talk, wish I could follow it, need to get up to speed. lol!

When you download franco kernel, you get the option between 384 MHz GPU and 512 MHz GPU settings. 512 has known to cause some issues, particularly in games and such, but it is a bit...snappier.

I also overclocked the CPU from the standard setting to 1536 MHz lol.

Been gone on vacay a little over a week, so I spent last night and this morning catching up on all the posts. Geez! Woulda gone sooner had I known that shortly after leaving, the 4.0.4 OTA would drop for all those patiently waiting! :p

Anyhoo, glad to say that I'm up & running on AOKP B37 (Yay! First-time ROM) and also Franco's kernel M4 (YAY!).

Would appreciate some info. on where to begin with M4. I realize the settings are personal preference, but what is the difference among all the choices under "Scaling Governor"? I'm not a power gamer, & our 3G-only area has poor signal at times so battery life fluctuates too. Lazy, Interactive, Conservative, On Demand - where should I begin?

I'm guessing results for colors & gamma controls are different for each phone, but they're making me crazy to adjust. My screen seems to be a little lighter at the bottom, so I tried a few adjustments, but to make the screen background totally black at the bottom makes my eyes wacko. Probably makes a difference too depending upon display brightness when the gamma is changed.

I bow to your expertise. :)

Did you do any voltage settings for 1536? or just change the max speed setting only?

As always, voltages are not my area of expertise--I just know it can quickly descend into madness.

Just the speeds. My min is 384 MHz, max is 1536 MHz, and governor is wheatley.

Try hitting auto-flash for the nightly one. It should ask you then.

... or is there an explanation somewhere that you could link me to? Earlier posts suggest to let a kernel settle in for a couple of days. Trying to figure out the differences without approx. 8 days of testing. Thanks!
