Does the hotspot tethering work on this ROM? If it does I'll flash it in a sec. Because I use the hotspot as my primary internet connection

Someone running this will have to confirm but afaik wifi AP started working on 3/27s build for us and aosps last build was 3/25. This is the same thing only tweaked for sprints network. But he might be using different drivers, that I do not know.

has anyone got a SPB shell 3d to work on this rom i keep getting a error then wen i press the home button it goes to the zeam launcher an wen i press home again it does show that windows to choose launcher its like its not there anymore an i have to uninstall it

might want to include that the 3/27 build was the CM7 build.

Headset

Anyone else having the headset issue where it recognizes standard headphones/auxiliary out to stereo as being a headset with built-in microphone thus disabling microphone on the phone itself? Seems to be a problem in a lot of CM builds and trying like hell to find a fix. Anyone?

I can tell you we have the same issue on zefie's build, so it probably is a cm bug

Okay I've been running this for about 3 days now heres what I can tell you. Without setcpu using asop's kernel I'm getting a noticible increase with battery life using the exact same apps and widgets I always do (tittanium backup) Bluetooth is still buggy and works right maybe 30% of the time wifi tether about 55% of the time other then that I have had no force closes or anything. I deleted the "stock" browser on the phone and replaced it with the newest launcher pro so I cant comment on the browser other then that I like it a whole lot. Asop's Rom for ME is a lot more streamlined and cherry picked to have just what I need but again that's just my opinion.... hope this helps some one on the fence.

Aosp worked hard on the last release to optimize the battery. I know I have seen a big improvement from his previous. Non looping ringtones is a known issue with the rom. Wireless tether for root works for me but I have limited time on it. Spb launcher doesn't work on the optimus hardware. (Atleast when I tried back in Feb.)

Thanks guys for responding to my question.

But I cant use adhoc networks (wifi tether) with my ps3,printer, or refrigerator.

Thats why I need the native hotspot hack.

i think this rom is fantastic, but the visual voicemail or rather voicemail in general doesn't seem to be working. when i get a voicemail i get a sms message saying i have one. any way to fix this?

If you have Google Voice activated on your google account, install the Android Google Voice program and set it up to handle voicemail for your phone. Works great (essentially the same as visual voicemail), with the added benefit of reasonably good transcription so you can get a text version of the voicemail if you don't want to listen to it.

thanks, that worked perfectly.

So really, what's the difference between this and a Sprint based ROM? Is it just something different to try, or are there noticeable performance gains? What I'm getting at is, are there good solid reasons, other than having something else to tinker with, to choose this over the Sprint based ROMs? I'm not looking for personal preferences, I'm after actual performance comparisons.
