Today I had my phone set to 122min-748max, I wanted to give battery life a fair shake. Today I pretty much did nothing but watch movies, play music or play angry birds (gahh! it caught me too!) except for about an hour. 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM got me down to 22% on the battery. Not incredible, but still makes it to satisfactory performance for me.

I'm also switching over to zefie's version to test it out as I haven't tried it since 03022011. I'm interested in what's in cards for both of them. Particularly once 2.3 becomes official for Optimus phones.

That would be a poo-load of work for the two of them though.

Only satisfactory? That's friggin incredible.

For that one hour it remained in airplane mode. Ordinarily I can expect to get at least 14 hours of heavy usage out of the phone on ThunderROM. this was only like, 10 hours. my definition of satisfactory: Oh hey! That's great!

Again, subjective opinions :p
Performance was good though, I know some phones can't handle the 122min and mine can't handle anything above 748max but long as you don't check the set on boot setting, it should be safe to play around with the CPU settings to find the sweet spot on your phone.. and like pfer10 said, no need for SetCPU, CyanogenMod has it built in.

Alright, I completely surprised myself today. I was running this rom set at 245-729 on interactive. Now keep in mind that it was pretty light usage today (lighter than I'd normally do) which meant checking emails that came in, a couple texts, some other things, nothing too intensive.. BUT... after 13.5 hours, I'm at 80% remaining. And I've been wifi tethering for the last 10-15 min. Call me crazy but that's where it's at. Even had 3g on the whole time. Granted, this is the day after I upgraded to VD, so maybe that has something to do with it? I'm going to leave it off the charger tonight and see how it fares through classes tomorrow (since they all have horrid reception).

New version is out. See the first post for link. Just wipe cache and dalvik cache. Flash the ROM and then OV to sprint zip.

Different launcher, native tether blah blah blah.

Pfer,

Are you going to release a new OV to Sprint zip?
The current one replaces the build.prop and shows and old build date ;-)

Note a huge problem, but might confuse some as to what version the are on.

Pfer, the changelog doesn't show a log for 4/4, do you have a link to the newest log?
BTW, thats a pretty sweet boot animation, nice job on that.

Latest is 4/3, pfer10 did warn us that there weren't going to be change logs for aosp's stuff.

So, my story this morning: I finished testing zefie's rom and was switching over, I always just download the latest zip to avoid confusion. so I downloaded the zips (not knowing they were updated) and went through the flashing, boot up, unlock and.... my thought was "That's weird, aosp's didn't flash. I'm still on zefie's." So with the latest update, there isn't much to differentiate them looks wise. While I may be incorrect, I believe aosp uses a different kernel, while zefie uses his own.

BTW:

Th GPS issues were resolved on zefie's, what I read on the changelog is GPS is switched over to aosp code (source, not our man Aosp)

Is anybody able to send mms?

I'm not on the latest version but yes on the previous version. And yes my battery is amazing, I do a lot of surfing, Flight Control, maybe an hour of talking on the phone altogether, texts, emails, and my battery life is so much better than the GF's running stock VD.

Speaking of the battery life, I'm pretty sure upgrading to VD has something to do with it. Because since I did so, I noticed stronger signal strength as well as much better battery life. Light use before VD would yield about 20 hours at best. Light use after VD is currently at 1d,6h. And with 36% remaining. Again, it's probably due to the increased signal strength, which is showing a lot more green than yellow (before there was NO green at all) in the phone signal section of the battery usage menu, and I'm in the same location as before, nothing different.

Ok I updated my original post and added the 4/03 version along with my 3/25 version. Sorry for any confusion it might have caused.

Question: Settings> About Phone> Mem info (avail/total) = 284mb / 421mb

When I click on Titanium Backup the memory information says: Internal:172mn (96.7 mb free)

Why is the memory info in the "About Phone" menu so much different?

There's a difference between system memory and internal storage. 421MB is total memory vs what's not being used.

Settings > Storage > Total space, Available space. I noticed still that Titanium isn't exact. weird it is.

I use MMS often enough that I'm darned certain that I might have noticed... but, I really didn't know there was a problem. I just knew about the sms split bug.
