Well I'm on this rom and I gotta say I love it! I've been through all of the roms on the forum for my devices and I gotta say I like this one the bestall except slide rom ill flash thatlater but still I love this one the best. I was very skeptical about the rom being for virgin mobile but I've had no problems

Weird. Build on my phone is showing aospCMod-OV-20110403 after flashing the 4/27 build. Can someone else check their build under about phone and see if you're getting the same weirdness?

If you flashed the OV to Sprint zip, then the build version will be wrong.

Thanks - I am not on twitter so that is probably why I missed it. On another note - did anyone ever figure out how to get the system to stop telling me I had a voice mail every time I boot or something else happens?

I don't have that issue. Is it Google Voice telling you you have a voice mail? Or is it Sprint?

Maybe there is a lingering message on Sprints Voice mail system.

Nope - no lingering voice mail on sprints system; I get a notification of a voicemail everytime I reboot the phone or plug in my USB or get any system notification. It is rather annoying.

I will try to flash the 4/27 ROM today and see if it still happens.

BTW - what does flashing the GAPPS do? I still had to download them from the market to get them (I only use maps and gmail).

Is this rom not getting any more love?

I tried installing zefie's rom, but it always fail to properly load. This one loaded fine, but has already crashed like 3 times today (first day).

pfer10's patch for the transition from Optimus V to Optimus S should work for all updates.

That is incorrect information...the last 2 builds (since the MMS fix) are not working with pfer10's patch. After installing the patch messaging disappears...sure you can use GoSMS but I would rather have the default one.

I use Handcent so I didn't notice the texting problem.

Yup, messaging is gone! Tried to install the stock msging apk but sill no dice. Had to go with Handcent. Also MMS would never work, drove me nuts. Also the time kept going ahead 4 hours and sometimes 5 hours, had to reboot to fix the time.
I finally gave it up and switched to Reborn. I miss all of the kicka$$ features of CM7 and Gingerbread but to me its not worth it.

Has anyone else had problems with certain apps not installing from market or restoring from Titanium Backup? I wanna switch from zefie's scott pilgrim CM7 (looks like a dead ROM), but every time I flash this one I can't get some of my apps to restore, and I nandroid back. Anyone know what this is about?

If it helps, some of the apps are:
google docs
amazon appstore
deadly chambers lite
wii controller 0.3b

also, i have about 160 user apps on here, could that be the problem? I'm not running out of space, I can see that from storage. reboots don't change anything.

that's all I can remember right now. Gonna try to wipe all my backups and backup from scratch. then I'll re-download the rom and flash it, see if I can get somewhere.

I had that problem also. I switched from this rom to ReBorn and none of my backups would work. They'd install but wouldn't open up. I used Titanium, and the backups were verified. Don't know why, but all I know is there's no way in hell I'm starting over in any of the 3 Angry Birds when they were all 99% finished.

Maybe try installing the game fresh from the market, then restoring just the app data with Ti?

The problem is that the apps won't install from market either.

The weird thing is, I tried flashing this ROM again, and the apps that wouldn't restore were completely different from the last batch. I'm really confused now.

EDIT: I'm finding info around the interwebs saying that newer versions of cm7 have this problem as well. I'm gonna try flashing an old version of this ROM and restore, then dirty flash up to the latest. Wish me luck.

EDIT EDIT: I flashed the 4/03 version of this ROM and all of my apps restored perfectly. I cannot manage, however, to dirty flash up to 4/15 or 4/27. 4/15 flashes, but deletes half of my apps, and 4/27 flashes, but won't go past the second LG logo. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the recovery, since aosp releases new recoveries with his ROMs, and I'm still using xionia. I'm gonna try out one of his recoveries and flash the latest version again.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Flashed the recovery that was released with 4/27, then flashed the 4/27 rom. It actually loaded up this time, but it deleted all the apps that I was having problems with before. This is really starting to piss me off. Also, the home and menu buttons stay backwards after flashing the OV to sprint zip. Posted on XDA, haven't gotten a reply yet, but it's a much more active thread than this one, so hopefully someone will help me.

Would like to know anyone else's experience with the newest releases on an optimus s phone. I am considering switching to this ROM for fun later in the week when I have time and just curious if its close to being reliable on the Sprint phones now.
