[ROM][CM10][JB] Euroskank JellyBro

Flashing latest update, using 726 gapps.

I flashed the formula gaaps and honestly don't see or feel any differences, (don't really care about the formula custom version cause I don't use book, currents, etc). Most likely will go back to the 7/26 gapps.

I only flashed about 3 roms on ICS in 8 months, always clean, and I've flashed about 10 JB roms this week lol. Going to flash 8/12 dirty over 8/10, but I'm really liking what Google Now has been doing as it's "learning" me interests etc. So, I may relax a bit after this until the new beez neez is out. Maybe not. Anyway, can you backup Google now data to restore w/ MBP or TiBu or is that considered system?

That's a good question! If your dirty flashing everything should still be there. The census is on Google Now that "Big Brother" is always watching, so all your settings are backed up in space, like your apps in Google Play Store.

My google now cards repopulate after a full wipe. It makes sense for google to not do this on the phone side, but rather at their servers. It would definitely help with targeted advertising.

Hmm I could have sworn I needed to setup my cards again after a full wipe. Totally agree with your logic AppleBonker. Perhaps it's because I don't check the box to backup my apps from Google since I use MBP to do it. I'll try it the other way next time I wipe clean.

+1 on presuming this lol

After flashing CM10, the only problems I am running into so far are...

Superuser app is not uninstallable. I installed superSU, and am using that but I can't get rid of superuser. I did not try to do it through a file explorer yet. Just through the play store and then through the settings>apps.

Lastly, ROM Manager is also not uninstallable. I currently have TWRP installed with a twrp2.2 image. When I open ROM manager it shows me that I have Clockworkmod 6.0.1.0 installed as my recovery but I know this not to be true.

Does CM10 have superuser baked in? As well as clockworkmod?

Yes. Use a file manager and delete from system /app.

Hey guys...totally new rooter here. Just unlocked and flashed this as my first ROM. I do have a couple questions though if you don't mind me asking...

1) Let's say I want to jump to another ROM, I know I have to "wipe" it clean with CWM. Does that mean I'll have to install all my apps and configure my entire phone again each time I flash another ROM?

2) I noticed some of you were having the Gallery syncing problem. I'm having the same problem. I use the gallery to look at my photos all the time, not to mention i just deleted all the pictures from my phone b/c I knew they would be in the "Instant Uploads" folder. Now it's gone. I did try flashing the other version on Gapps that someone else suggested in the thread, but it didnt work. Maybe I did it wrong though. I just put the zip file on my phone and installed it the same way I did the other one. But I didn't UNinstall anything first. Should I have?

Thank you for all the help.

1) Look for the Tibu thread about backup and restore of apps. Short answer is yes.

I used this. You shouldn't have to uninstall anything first

Did you do this Dmmarck? I deleted the Clockworkmod folder and Rom Manager still remained. I was going to disable both Rom Manager and superuser, but I got the warning message about doing so. So as of right now I'm still stuck with them.

Also, when I run goo manager and go to run the open recovery script I'M told that no recovery script was found on my device. This I know is not accurate, as I just flashed openrecovery-twrp-2.2.0.img from the ADB shell moments before

Those apps are so baked into the system you might brake something if you do manage to remove them somehow, just use the superuser app and hide ROM manager (Nova).

That's probably my best bet. I hid superuser and Rom manager. I'm still going to use superSU

I NEED HELP! I can't figure this out and I think it's CM10 and not me. (Maybe not)

It's about brightness. Two things...

1. Auto brightness doesn't work. The brightness never changes when I set brightness to auto.

2. I've got a Tasker task to turn brightness on full when I connect to a bluetooth speaker. This doesn't happen. I can see that the tasker task is running but it never changes the brightness.

I CAN change the brightness manually.

It appears that there's something in CM10 that is blocking brightness from working.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Flashed latest update rom and getting "processing system is not responding". I click on wait and everything is fine. Anyone else get this message? I did a clean install.

Yes, a reboot does wonders. ;)
