[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 12/22 zvd only

Tried flashing the latest release and had issues with touchscreen responsiveness and lag. Goin' back to an earlier release (which happens to run beautifully).

I Am Loving The Newest Build Right Now. Thank You!:)

Lol i think the changelogs need to be compacted. It seems with all the information its messy. Just put "all older changelogs here" link. Im a freak for organization XD

New build. 1/16/2012

  • charging while powered off thanks to tdm. Long press the power button to boot if connected via USB or a/c power.
  • boot up sprint animation for now.
  • BobZhome 3.6 kernel
  • Change notification drop down background mod and overscroll color mod by JerryScript. CM setting > interface > statusbar tweaks
  • ADB over network. It is turned off by default and to turn on go to settings > applications > development: check "adb over network" . Then go to setting > wireless> wifi settings > click menu button then press "advanced". Take note of your IP address and open a command prompt on your computer. Enter inside the quotes "adb connect <phone Ip address>:5555" For example "adb connect 192.168.1.123:5555" then enter.
  • Volume button switch when turning landscape.. set to 90 degrees CM settings > sounds
  • CM9 notification and ringer sounds
  • Silent volume beeps
  • headset button should be fixed
  • holo ring option for the lockscreen. CM settings > lockscreen > style options
  • set default volume control to media instead of ringer, CM settings > sounds
  • Latest CM7 sync.
  • Remember to change the color of the clock to see it. It's defaulted to black.
  • Hint: if you don't like the full transparent bar, some app's top bar color will overtake the status bar icon colors, pick a color and move the alpha bar midway to keep some transparency. Black works well like that.
  • Testers, this is the same as the last build that went out.

We need to wipe.....? (Just Dalvik Cache, everything? )

I would always recommend wiping everything. There always might be leftover files from prior builds.

I did a clean install and have the 1119 gapps with vvm fix. Now when I open market it says "error retrieving information from server." what do I do?

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 1/16/2012 zvd onl

I dirty flashed (wipe cache & dalvik only) 1-16 over the 1-14 test build this morning (I wiped all before 1.14, was not ready to start over again). Lost my vvm, flashed the VVMCM7.11.7fix.zip from recovery and all is well; I'm guessing that was from the dirty flash and not doing full wipe.

This is noticeably more responsive than the 1.14 test build, as good or better than the 12.22 before that. All functions work so far for me. Incoming call screen wake response is much better than any previous build.

I did have a reverse glitch with the headset button fix on the 1.14 build last night. After an hour steady play, it would not pause from wired headphones with control button using stock Music. Previously it would pause after long playing and then not rewake with button. I'll try again today with 1.16 and PowerAmp to see what happens.

I really like the holo ring lock! Great work as usual, thanks for keeping the improvements moving forward.

On my ADW launcher dock, icons keep disappearing. I have my main dock style set as 5 icons. How do i fix this.

Did you do a clean flash of CM7 (wipe data/system/cache) or a dirty flash over the existing ROM?

Are you using themes? Make sure they are install to the phone memory and not the sdcard

I did a clean install of the 1/10 build. I am not running any custom themes, i am running cyanbread which came with the rom. Is it possible that i need to disable wallpaper hack? Let me know. Oh and also, thanks Kraven for all your work, love this rom, i dont know why i didnt leave reborn sooner.

Try clearing adw data in titanium backup and reset adw in adw settings. Then try your settings again

@TheKraven, What are these CM9 Ringtones/Notifications? Did you manually rip them from CM9? Or is there a download for them. Please, and thank you. :D

Ok, generally I love this version of CM7 but with both the 1/10 and 1/16 builds I've been having a show-stopper type of problem. I have absolutely no phone service with these two builds. Everything else works fine even internet service over Wi-FI but I'm getting nothing from my phone at all. I really want to update from the 12/22 build but I can't if I don't get phone service with this one. I'll also try reverting just the kernel using the 3.4 version in the first post. If that doesn't work though I'm really going to need some help.

EDIT: Ok, reverting to the BobZHome 3.4 kernel didn't help either. Neither did jumping back to my 12/22 backup and using the boot-image update that you'd posted a while back. I guess that I'll just go back to my 12/22 build backup for now.

What about 3G service? Were you running Cm7 (phone and 3G) before upgrading to the newer version? Or were you coming back from a Zvh Rom?
And how did you install?

Only other thing i could think of is a radio mismatch. Or you need to flash a sprint based zvd rom and do a profile update and prl update.
Or from a sprint based zvd rom do a ##72786# (##SCRTN#) with your msl to get services refreshed.

I was on your 12/22 build before trying the 01/10 and 01/16 builds and I've never run a zvh rom on my phone. The only thing that I can think of as a potential issue would be the fact that this phone was a refurbished model that I got in a Sprint Store as a replacement for my previous one with a damaged headphone port. However, I don't see how that could be the problem since I was able to root and install your 12/22 build without any issues. I'll try a profile/PRL update but I did one about 1.5 weeks ago just before I rooted this phone.
