[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Are you using xionia recovery? Try flashing again, but try first adding mount system in the recovery options under mounts. Then flash again.

A couple more options.:
1. Flash the 3.4 kernel in the kernel section of the OP. It's label 3.3 recompiled.

2. Wipe cache, and format system then dirty flash the 1/10 Rom update + gapps.

3. Do a full wipe or boot, system, cache, and data, flash the 1/10 Rom update + gapps.

OK, I've decided to just go the full wipe route since all of the dirty flash methods ended with me not having any Sprint network connection at all. I am liking the new kernel though my only report now is the fact that when my phone is plugged in when it reboots (for example when I have it reboot after completing a weekly 3AM automatic Titanium Backup batch job), it'll boot into the power off charging state instead of booting up fully. Not a big issue I just won't be getting calls from 3AM until I wake up on Sunday but it has caught me a couple of times when I've gotten distracted while waiting the few seconds for my phone to reboot.

i noticed that behavior also, when rebooting with usb and a/c plugged in. It took us over a year to get it, but it should take less than that to fix. ;) I made a note in the developer thread.

Everything runs really well with the latest kernel, but I've using a wired headset seems to still slow down my phone. I've noticed when the screen is off and music is playing, pressing the headset button to pause the music always causes the screen to wake up and pull up the "home page" for the music app after unlocking, and while its doing all that, it music takes another 5 sec or so to finally pause. It's just seems like it's slow when using the control from the headset.

Kraven, how do I remove and replace green android bootanimation with other bootanimation zip?
pushing to data/local or system/lib didn't work. I still have green android. Appreciate your help.

The one with the "android" word underneath it? It's built into the boot. That one is temporary till I find a nicer one. Sprint one is not an option. lol

I made one a month or so ago. Make sure it's for low res screens. It's buried in here somewhere.

Look for the one I made and install along with the clicker.apk. Only thing, voice search doesn't work.

Found it, did that. Installed clicker too. Still no luck. I read in instructions some where, that after selecting IME as keyboard in language & keyboard settings, I'm supposed to long press some button which will ask me the input method and I should select HTC IME there, can't figure how to do that though :(

Awesome but it doesn't say baseband I have a backup of froyo if something went wrong please pm me

What music player? With power amp I get that and more with wired ear buds with control. Can answer calls fine, pauses and returns fine with headset, but if I try to turn on screen, it will not. If I pull ear buds to talk on phone, it will not respond for 15 seconds. When I pause via button and press again to start, it will not. Info I have is that it is phone hardware not designed to accept headset controls. Power Amp dev blames my cheap hardware. :D Hope I am wrong.

Uninstall the IME keyboard first, then install this one. But you can keep the clicker installed or not. HTC_IME_themed_by_gIMpSTa.apk

I just reverted back to ZVD... stock everything. I'm going to start from scratch using this ROM, so I hope everything works well for me. Anyone have any shortcuts/suggestions of where to begin with setting up recover/root/etc to make this process quick and painless? :D
