[ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 3/9 zvd only

Re: [ROM] CM7.2 Port for Optimus S by thekraven 1/16/2012 zvd onl

Full wipe and install of 1/16 cm7 and gapps12/14- Device shuts off instead of rebooting. When data2ext is installed, a little more than half of my 40 downloaded apps and all but one google app breaks and is not repairable thru wiping app data, uninstall and reinstall. Tried this twice.

The shut of is the offline charging mode when on charge. Long press to turn on. No guess on the apps not working, except I am using 11-19 gapps with vvm fix.

Anyone else with 12/14 gapps seeing this?

Any chance of a 'un-transparent' patch? Or a fix for apps taking over the status bar color? Otherwise, the ROM is fast and stable for me!

Read the hint on the post on this release. Thekraven tells how. :)

Here's how to make the status bar black:

Settings>CyanogenMod settings>interface>status bar tweaks>set color to #fd000001

Haha, I got it. I didn't think that one through all the way. I set it to half way but didn't notice much. Setting it to almost zero transparency is noticable.

It took me about six tries to get it too. That is why I was going to refer you to thekraven's instructions and not try to explain myself. :)

For those having problems, which recovery are you using?

EDIT: nevermind I figured it out. (original question was I keep getting stuck at battery screen.)

Try long pressing the power button.

I'm having problems getting past the battery boot screen. I'm using xionia recovery. Thanks.

Press and hold power button looooong time.:D

First bullet point in new build announcement yesterday.
New build. 1/16/2012

*charging while powered off thanks to tdm. Long press the power button to boot if connected via USB or a/c power.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have one more question though, how can I make the status bar transparent? I set it to be transparent in the cyanogemod settings but it still appears as black however it appears as transparent in the lock screen.

Thanks so much for the great rom thekraven. This is the best one I have used so far blows gRom and team hydros out of the water.

The status bar changes take effect after a reboot.
The other thing is to uncheck wallpaper hacks in Adw settings > system preferences.
Or choose a color and adjust the alpha level to your liking.

@thekraven

I did a dirty flash (wiped cache/dalvik) over 12-22, with 1-16 and experienced the same problem as before with the wifi connecting, but not being able to access the internet. I had the same problem when I dirty flashed the 1-10 mini-update, but all seemed to work when I flashed the kernel and the other update separately. I've since restored my 12-22 backup...

If it does it again, just FULL WIPE then flash. That helped me when Wifi kept turning on and then immediately back on.

Quick question, I'm getting ready to flash cm7, I've got the new cwm recovery.is that going to be a problem? Thanks!

I have occasional wifi issues too. A quick switch to airplane mode and back fixes it.

It is not a problem, except it only works with 2.3 gingerbread roms. So you shouldnt be able to flash back to another 2.2 froyo rom with it (though i believe it will still nand restore). That recovery as of right now is largely only of use to those on the zvh baseband (due to the fact that all roms for it are gingerbread). Double check you have zvd baseband before proceeding.

I'm using Xionia 1.2518.6 if that helps anyone else who may have my issue in the future.

I honestly have no idea what is different now but this time my clean flash worked just fine. Thanks for the help ^_^

Ok! I've identified the problem ^_^ It was the 11/19 version of Google Apps that killed my phone service. I don't know why but the 12/14 version works just fine.
