Problem with internet after cog 3.04

So i flashed cog 3.04 last week

i am having wifi problems now though(and pretty much was immediately after flashing)

wifi turns on and connects to my router(authenticates with password ok and thats fine) but i cant actually get on the internet at all. dogg catcher wont download podcasts mail wont refresh and i cant access the market?

i am on my desktop now using the same wireless so it is definitely something with the phone and it was working fine before cog3.04

Can somebody walk me through on how to install 4.1.1?

I have v 2.2 Beta 9.1.3 on my Captivate right now, I just want to upgrade.

^^ Thanks, but I already have it on.

I'm just looking to update it. Without losing my data/apps.

Cognition 4.1 is based on an entirely new framework than what you are currently running. It will require a clean install, so you will lose your apps and data. Back everything up before you proceed.

So, I ran into a problem.

I used Titanium Backup to backup all my crap (Even if it was lost, I had a backup on my computer)

And then, I used Clockwork to flash the new ROM, and it error'd, and now there's no ROM installed on my phone.

It just boots into the Samsung Recovery Utility, and there's no update.zip on the phone, so I can't just "reinstall packages".

Anything left for me to do? All I want is the 4.2.1 ROM on it...

Odin yourself back to stock, and then proceed with Cog.

Cog 4.1x is where I would go, if you are looking for the Cognition/Stock feel. The latest one is implementing some features into i897 from i9000... and it doesn't appear to be going totally smooth. It always was a little more, cutting edge, with i9000 stuff. The draw for Cog for me was always the reliability.

Were it me wanting to stay on Cog, I would load the latest version of 4.1 prior to the new kernel.

Cool thanks, I will have a look for that version then he dosnt appear to have it for download on his site anymore

For me Cog 4.2.2 SHO is what Samsung/AT&T should have been from the git go!

I was rewarded with the Sleep/Die problem after trying out the 'Official' Froyo from AT&T and it stayed when I switched back to Serendipity 6.2 and then Cognition 4.1.1. However, it has not shown up since trying 4.2.2 SHO (knock on wood!)

It does use up the battery faster, but I always carry a spare battery and it's not so bad that I have yet to not last a day. Just my observations so far.
