Hey guys so after some forum searching I can't seem to find an app that forces roaming. There used to be one for this phone but it doesn't work. Any ideas on how to force roaming? Is it a CM9 native thing?

The app that you're referring to is Nick7's Force Roam "App." I put the word "App" in quotations because really it's a shortcut to access a hidden LG submenu that allows you to switch the phone's roaming tendencies.

Because it forces roam by way of the LG submenu, it's for stock ROMs only (IE, HydroROM, GingerROM, etc). I don't know of any way to force roam on an AOSP (CM 7/9) Opti S ROM as we speak.

Is anyone else having trouble with their alarm clock not going off? Mine is usually fine, but this morning it did not go off. It's happened to my husband a couple times too (we are both on alpha10f).

I checked all the settings even though I haven't messed with it and it's the same as I have it for every morning...so there was no am/pm mix up, and it's set to ring even when the phone is on silent (even though I always have my ringer on).

This is kinda worrying me. I'm in love with this rom, but I really need a reliable alarm

They sell reliable alarms at Wal Mart

Haven't had this issue... alarm woke me up bright and early.

That is worrisome. My phone is my only alarm right now. It has been dead-on reliable since I've been running CM9 (~3-4 weeks). I have it on repeat for every weekday morning. I usually put it in deskclock mode and leave it on the charger all night. I'm on a10f, but I haven't applied all the patches yet.

Nope. I don't mess with it unless I change roms or something. I have it set for 7am Monday-Friday to get my son up for school and it's been reliable until now. No idea why. Idk if it has something to do with my clock drifting worse than usual or what...

Sorry to be annoying with the flash.I have no tv:'(
My phone is my only source of entertainment this my favorite rom ever
But I must use my second favorite cm7.2 so as u can imagine I'm just drooling for the fix
And I think all TV apps suck flash is the only way to go

Flash always seems so choppy on this device... YouTube has a lot of full length shows --- and you can download torrents using a torrent etc

Yes but IV already mined YouTube for all its worth and torrents are a excellent idea however I lack the necessary space latley IV been all over watch series.com and southpark
true flash has been choppy on our S but I find it to be acceptable low Res video play fine though

I have had it happen with alarms and calendar reminders. Seems to be the clock drift issue. Whatever needs to trigger the alarm, the clock is before the alarm, then hangs, then catches up to real time, and jumps past alarm time. I have had to restore a CM7 nand when I really need my calendar reminders. Sometimes alphas are purring, sometimes those teeth bite hard. So it goes.

Yeah that's the one, i wish there was a way we could force roaming. Sometimes im downstairs with little signal and it rapes my battery lol I would love to be able to use whatever signal is the highest. Being that it now only lets you set it to "automatic" even if Sprint towers have only one bar it still uses it.

Alarm has been working fine for me the last week or so, except this morning it seems as if it never went off and I was late for class...I'm hoping it was just something I did wrong lol.

Since a governor seems to be built into CM9, I no longer need to run an OC app like "No Frills CPU", right? (Seems that way but old habits die hard.)
