Well, I was having a couple of other minor issues besides my alarm so I decided to wipe everything and do a fresh install of alpha10f and the fixes for it. And now my wifi is broken lol. Good times...

Since a governor seems to be built into CM9, I no longer need to run an OC app like "No Frills CPU", right? (Seems that way but old habits die hard.)

Correct. You can access the O/C settings by going to

Settings > Performance (Select OK) > Processor

I'm currently running InteractiveX @ 320/768Mhz

Don't forget to tick "Set on boot"

Well that just sounds like loads of fun I all ways find redoing the install and wipe and eventually it will all work

How is it broken? Mine works fine, except for one particular "open" Wi Fi network won't maintain the connection.

Try flashing another kernel?

Maybe try wiping everything again (Cache, Factory, Dalvik) and running Format-DEBUGSystem.zip before installing a10f and Gapps?

The button to even turn wifi on in settings is greyed out and cannot be pushed, that's how it's broken.

And I already wiped everything, then formatted, then did the format debug zip just to make sure. Going to keep tinkering and see what I can do.

This happens to me any time I flash a new kernel over the ROM. I've had to not install the latest patch to keep wifi because it installs the new test kernel.

Not sure if I said this about another Alpha version, but Google Music still crashes. Everything else works great for me though, thanks Kraven!

This happens to me any time I flash a new kernel over the ROM. I've had to not install the latest patch to keep wifi because it installs the new test kernel.

I reflashed everything and it's working now for some reason...lol.

For alarms, I use an app called AlarmDroid. It's free and it hasn't missed an alarm once. I do keep ClockSync automatic synchronization enabled just to be sure.

It was the last kernel and boot.img (which has the last kernel) which borked mine.

is it only open or secure or both? had the issue before on secure... turned out my boss/roommate changed the passwords and forgot to tell me.

It's secure, but I don't think the option being unselectable at all has anything to do with that. I fixed it. Then I turned it on and put in the password and it's fine.

I did the same and haven't had any wifi issues but clock lag and intermittent disappearing text from email and Facebook have returned.

Try to narrow down the ones with wifi problems. These kernels have smaller wifi modules, maybe there is a space problem when flashing it before.

Can't test the open network until tomorrow night. Things seem pretty smooth so far!

I don't remember the configuration last time I checked, but opening / switching to camcorder used to crash and now shows preview... just can't actually record.
I'm guessing you resolved the crash issue with your camfix and subsequently in 10f.

5/16/2013 stock video cam fix2. edit adjusted media profiles. Got the stock camcorder working now. No
panorama yet. It just records at a set mp4 file. 640x480 30fps aac audio
sampling rate better. Market camera apps still give more choices.

Flashed cm9.a10f.test2boot.img and hk-ICS-CAI-test9. Initial boot, wifi worked. After airplane mode dance, wifi worked.
Flashed hk-ICS-CAI-test10. Initial boot, unit hot booted itself at the launcher, then wifi worked. After airplane mode dance, wifi worked.

Any other combinations you want me to try?

note: airplane mode dance: turn on airplane mode, turn off phone, pull battery, hold power key 10 seconds, install battery, power up, turn airplane mode off.

Thanks, I'm still trying to figure out why it worked for some and not others. The kernel scripting mounts the system folder, then deletes the old modules and copies the new modules. If you don't mind flashing the boot.img that gave you no wifi. Then have a look at the /system/lib/module folder and see if there are the 3 modules inside. Or checksum and see if they are the same as in the zip file.
