I'm still can't get mms working on 15f. Anyone else have this problem?

Edit: after the third clean install it finally worked... weird.

My mms is working on 15d.

I've re-installed twice and no luck yet. Are you formatting everything every time? And which gapps are you flashing? I just want to make sure I'm doing the same thing without any missteps. MMS and working voice search are the only things I'm missing, and voice search has a temp fix.

Yeah, still no luck. I switched to the Quattrimus ICS ROM for MMS, but the Wifi speeds are BRUTALLY slow so I came back. I did everything you did minus the new rom prep (I flashed Debug-FormatSYSTEM) and I flashed the full version of gapps as opposed to small. Do you think I should try installing just a new MMS apk? It's not make or break for me, but I know the wife appreciates being able to get pictures back from me and whatnot.

EDIT: Replaced stock MMS app with this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667615. Looks better, works like a charm. Thanks for your patience.

I started out with a fresh install of Alpha 15C (private alpha), which didn't have the old audio files or the working MMS. I flashed the old audio files and a different MMS.apk and it's all working as 15D is supposed to.

Try this:

grab either Mms.apk from here and drop to C:\

[APP] CM9 Holo Dark MMS [5.31] - xda-developers

(I personally like the dark version)

then

(do not type # symbol)

adb remount
adb shell
# cd /system/app
# rm Mms.apk
# exit
adb push C:\Mms.apk /system/app
adb reboot recovery

wipe cache and reboot.

EDIT: Oh lol looks like you got it with basically the same method right before I posted this. I'll leave it here so it'll hopefully help others.

In the OP it says this is working for the vm670 in the newest build. Do we still need to do the separate home key fix flash? Or does the link for vm that kraven posted fix that?

Again, I've not used this rom in quite a while.

OK but did the phone go into deep sleep or just the lowest CPU setting? Also how long does it take for the phone to enter deep sleep?

Running 15f after a clean install, test16 kernel, CPU 320/787 on savagedzen governor. Since I flashed yesterday afternoon, my phone spent 52m19s in deep sleep, and 4h52m at 320 MHz.

The build.prop edit thekraven made doesn't seem to have changed much.

The only thing I've noticed that puts my phone into deep sleep reliably with any ICS rom is airplane mode, it works every single time. After I turn on airplane mode and let the phone sit for a bit it deep sleeps, and does so consistently. Otherwise I'm lucky if I get minutes of deep sleep out of hours of uptime. This is before and after the "pm" build.prop tweak. Mind you, this might only be because I'm using an OV, but I doubt that makes much of a difference.

Well scratch that last post I made. Mms worked for a little bit and now just doesn't work again. I haven't done anything differently since I was able to get it to work.

try my method at the top of this page...it might work, it might not...but that's how I got it working for me.
