[ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9+Paranoid Android LS670 11/20 ZVD basesband Alpha19

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone seen anything like this;

I had an LG Optimus S, that was rooted, running HydroROM and working with out any issues.

I flashed CAI and when it rebooted, it showed 'No Service'?

I'm trying to verify the provisioning information by dialing ##786#, but that code isn't working?

I have 2 other LG Optimus S phones with CAI and no problems.

Any suggestions??

Thx!

BJ

HydroRom is ZVJ baseband CAI is ZVD you need to either downgrade to ZVD or use the ZVD - ZVJ patch

Tapatalk'n it from my VM670 running CyanMobile X on LS670ZVJ firmware

I had originally installed the alpha19e ROM with the kernel it came with, but was having trouble with my bluetooth headset. (It would connect, the voice prompts were clear, but when a call connected, it was loud static and it was impossible to hear. Headset was working before switching ROMS) SO, I read that kernel 40 had a bluetooth fix, so I have installed the alpha 19e, kernel 40, gabbs, and have cannibal recovery.
Now, when I try to turn on bluetooth, it crashes the phone. (Locks up trying to turn on, then reboots, still with bluetooth off)
Do I need to install the bluetooth patch I noticed on the thread somewhere? I was thinking kernel 40 included it. Or is there a better kernel?
Thanks!

Just to add to what thwraith420 told you, also within aosp ROMs, sprint dialer codes will not work, also you will not be able to update profile and PRL.

thewraith420 & hlxanthus,

Thank you both!!! Is there some sort of patch at all, that will add back in, those Sprint Dialer codes?

Thx!

BJ

Just setup a good backup of stock rom and you can always go back if you need to use those features. You shouldn't need them too often though

Does anyone know if there is a good ZVJ-based Stock ROM floating around for the LG Optimus S?

Hey Everyone,

Quick question: I was testing out another ROM, so I created a Nandroid of my existing CAI installation. The Nandroid was made within TWRP. I am now trying to restore the same Nandroid and it's not working. Once it is done restoring within TWRP, when I reboot, it just hangs on the boot animation.

Any ideas?

Thx!!

BJ

Thanks Kraven!! I just installed and tried TWRP 2.3.3.0. Still no dice. It just sits and hangs on the boot-animation. Is there anything else that I could possibly try? Like Fixing Permissions or some other kind of advanced restore that you know of?

Thx!

BJ

Update: I just tried restoring a Nandroid that I made with TWRP this past December and I'm having the same problem.

Has anyone else encountered this same situation? If so, were you able to fix it?

Is there another Recovery out there that restores Nandroids made with TWRP?

You could try doing a clean install and then restoring just the data from the nandroid. To my knowledge twrp uses a different compression method then cwm based recoveries so they are not compatible. You may have to start from a fresh wipe if that doesn't work.

Is there a way to get more stuff to store on sdext? I'm running out of internal storage and getting "package file is invalid" errors, yet there is still a ton of sdext space left.

Running Alpha 19 with VM patch.with dc2sd enabled.

System ROM : 172MB / 3.18MB free
Internal: 187MB / 32.4MB free
sdext 959 MB / 551 MB free

You can try deleting the ext script from the ROM.Zip's init.d folder before flashing and replacing it with one of cronmod's more aggressive scripts. If I remember correctly I used int2ext+ with this ROM and it worked well. If not try d2ext+.

Im running an OpV and hearing good things about this rom...

Could someone tell me exactly which files to flash and in which order?
Hate to be a pain, thanks for the help.

Kraven, I need help. I and my wife have two identical and both ls670 I flashed this firmware.
Works fine with the old kernel. But I have a problem - the same Bluetooth address on both units.
Please tell me how to change BT_Adr. (I do not have a computer with windows)
