[ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9+Paranoid Android LS670 11/20 ZVD basesband Alpha19

Okay, so I fixed my own problem with the bluetooth (installed Kernel 21) but now I can't get the swype keyboard to work! I downloaded the beta from their website, installed it, selected it as the keyboard in settings. But nothing has changed. Still see the same keyboard, even after re-boot. I really prefer the swype keyboard because I have big fingers. Help?

I have found that Kernel 21 has seemed to work best on my Opti S on most of Kraven's ICS and JB ROMs. I've used Swype on all of the builds with no problems by simply backing up and restoring with Titanium Backup...

Unfortunately I can't do that, as I lost my Titanium backup when I had to partition my SD drive. Any tips for getting this to work using the downloaded swype installer?

I just wanted to let yall know, unless its already been mentioned I did not go through the whole forum, but I have not had any issues with my time being out of sync since I deleted the app called clock so maybe others can try to confirm it. I only installed 19e then deleted clock and that's it nothing else.

Froze the Clock app with TB. Lockscreen and status bar clocks still lag like crazy. :(

I would try going through the install process with Swype, once installed go back to Titanium Backup and delete the system keyboard. Reboot!!! Then see if you can activate Swype and set as default. If not, you can always restore the system keyboard and try making a backup of Swype and restore through TiBu...

Anyone know where to get the patch for the unique Bluetooth MAC address? Or how to change it manually on the device without using a computer.

Before asking a question, I looked through all 177 pages. I tried to look for the search on the forum and on the Internet. But did not find any option to solve the problem.
Maybe I do not know how to look for, but believe me - I spent a lot hours trying to understand and solve the problem yourself.

Well... You could ask mrg666 he's who fixed it :)

Edit: nvm I found it

Edit2: hmm it seems the fix was made specifically for IHO builds so it may not work on ICS or above. Do a backup before trying.

What is the mac bt address shown on both devices? Is it this? B08991040506
Manually, you maybe able to change it at /data/misc/bd_addr file. But you will need to change it every boot.
Another way is the edit the values in the file system/bin/hwaddr from the rom or on the phone. Edit it in notepad++ and look for the values B08991040506 and change manually and save. Remember to set the permissions as 0755. In this file, I manually changed the address like as stated.Goo.im Downloads - Downloading hwaddrs . Untested as I don't have the phone anymore.

I replaced the file (via Root Explorer). Then reboot. But, unfortunately, the MAC address is not changed. Was to be B08991040675, but really adress is B08991040506.
I'm confused

haha! After deleting the file suddenly became such a MAC address 43:25:d1:00:00:00 :) strange and yet the task is completed. Play around with a few days and I will write. Thank you!

Try setting the permissions to the hwaddr file in system/bin to 755

If that doesn't work, the hwaddr file may need to be compiled with a different mac address. Just editing it may not work.

Of course I checked the attributes of the file in the first place. 775! In any case, there was something that I needed - appointed a new mak address, even though it does not correspond to what is written in the file.

Been very happy with the progress on this ROM; however, I've had some issues with Link2SD vs A2SD. Can't seem to get either to work well, much less together.
The phone constantly restarts after only a few minutes of use on a brand new microSD with sd-ext4. Disabled A2SD because I like the flexibility of Link2SD, but I feel like it's a constant battle between them. Every time I Link my apps with Link2SD and restart, the ROM kicks in a updates them back. Always out of space on the phone, defeating the purpose of linking, and is rendering the phone unusable until I can resolve this.

Thanks,

You can try deleting the app2sd script from the init.d folder. Idk if this will make things unstable, so make a nandroid first.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it. Really liking the options and performance of this ROM, but I might give CM10.1 a shot if I can't make any headway.
Ready for this phone to start working for me than vice versa.

Still no help. I can't seem to get CAI to leave my sd-ext alone. No matter what I do, the ROM is just unstable and unusable. CM10.1 turned out pretty nice but it's a bit sluggish on this phone and, without Bluetooth support, isn't ready for primetime for what I need.
I've removed app2sd script but insists on "Upgrading Android" at every boot, negating my Link2SD efforts.
