so its not kosher to ask a dev how things are going but it is kosher to harp on people for being curious?

who says i am harping? simply making a comment. i dont post 40 times a day saying ZOMG DONT ASK THE DEVS QUESTIONS.....

I know people are excited, as am I. Kraven already stated when his next release would be, and what conditions would need to be met in order for it to realistically happen. Just trying to keep the thread clear and concise and not filled with a thousand "is it ready yet" posts. Its already 50+ pages and its not even out of alpha testing.

If that is considered elitist or snobbish, i apologize to all.

OK, I'm gonna run nandroid and take the plunge to CM9 today. If I want to test these boot images, do I basically just flash one after I've flashed the main ROM?

Id let it boot, reboot into recovery, wipe cache, flash the new boot image.

Some people seem to dirty flash the ROM after, not sure if its necessary

Read thekraven's post #490 where the boot images are attached, read his technique, and read what he wants tested. There are hints for getting wifi and data to play nice in the Original Post #1 of this thread as well. I find referring back to it often is helpful. Thanks for contributing to the thread by testing.

I keep going back and forth with all of them and the restore to A4 boot image. I am fairly successful with wifi but not at all on data, and it changes each time, so I have not posted my results. I do have a couple pages of test notes however.

d alpha4b. It looked great but could not get data working. Wifi found my network and connected but wouldn't sign into Google. Looking for the latest boot image and installation instructions. Any help?

I did the reboot things and toggled airplane mode on then off and data on and off.to no avail. Preparing to try again and flash boot image 67 to to see if that helps.

Look at post #110 for data tricks.

I know it says alpha 1, but they sometimes work for me, sometimes not.

Look for this section in OP #1 for more tips to try.

I find after a new flash, reboot, unlock, then immediately reboot again before sign in.

Ok this is weird,I flashed img 62 ,data worked after airplane on/off then data on/off. I'm at work so wasn't sure if there was a wifi close by but tried anyway.Tuned data off and wifi on. No wifi close however here I am posting this. Checked data km settings and it's still off . Orchards it has to be on . Right? Anyway, thought I would post my little test.

Followed all installation tricks in OP while installing alpha 4b. 3G works slowly, but wi-fi simply will NOT work no matter how many times I try the toggle data/wi-fi combo.

Well, I now was able to get data working and connect to the market. Downloaded and installed an app. I then turned data off and connected to WiFi and am downloading another app now. No blue wifi bars though.

You will need to forget the networks between flashing the boot.img. I think Then try toggling wifi on and off and enter your passwords. Then reboot. You should have blue bars

Try forgetting the wifi network, reboot, re-add the network.

3g on cm9 is just tiny lettering above the signal bars. It makes it hard for us mdpi phones..

Try dialing *#*#4636#*#*

Toggle radio off and on with button.

I found that radio off, reboot, go back to dialer and repeat the process with radio on, then reboot, gives me about 20% success, then I add wifi and loose data. ugh.

Gotta data back and 3g icons but just a note, hotspot doesn't work and I have lost wifi altogether. I am most concerned with keeping 3G data. Wifi will be nice but can wait.
