Alpha 10 first impressions:

- Things you expect to work still work. Wi-fi, 3G without toggle dance, ADB & USB storage (via USB, haven't tried ADB via wi-fi yet), all that good stuff is still go. Apps run, GPS locks, etc.
- Camera preview works like a charm, first try. Works on repeated tries, too.
- Gmail issues seem to be (SEEM to be) gone with the combo of thekraven's test kernel 5 (from drew's stellar base hydrokernel pre03) and the 4/22 Gapps. I can scroll down a long e-mail and text stays visible.
- Bumped my processor up to 787 MAX, 480 MIN, ONDEMAND, and things are friggin' snappy. Haven't rebooted unexpectedly yet; time will tell.

Just to note, I currently don't have the gmail issue with the previous gapps and no kernel 5 and alpha 9. A few force closes of the app and reboots seemed to fix it, at least for now, so who knows...

I and a handful of others got a PM. I'm certain that with a few more decent status reports and nothing going amazingly, horribly haywire, thekraven will update the first post soon.
For now, know that something good is coming and try not to pass out with all that jumping up and down excitedly.

I know the feeling. I got the PM and suddenly there was a flurry of downloading, pushing files, wiping, flashing, etc.
Haven't tried things out with straight hk pre3. I should give that a test run, see if I notice any differences.

Kraven thanks for the kick but roms but what I really want to know is will it compare to your cm7.2? so far thats gotta be the best In my opinion I love things that give me options in my options. I can't wait for this to be in "FINAL" release then I'm all over it .

Note: I'm getting the "Package file is invalid." error from Play Store again while updating apps, and I flashed /cache before flashing the ROM. Fnargle.

Funny. I have two 2gb of those type just sitting around; unfortunately, they're only sitting around because they're faulty (fresh out of the packaging faulty—I hate that).
DDR3 is so much cheaper. So much. (Granted your motherboard is compatible, which is highly improbable considering you're asking for DDR2. But even still...)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the alpha 10 release. It may cause some bad grades on my finals if it's released this week, but oh well.

Thraeryn I have also been randomly getting the same package invalid (502) issue! Happened on both my opt.s and the lg pheonix off of AT&T, so its not a rom issue. But did notice on the pheonix if i rebooted i could get it to download once in awhile. WEIRD!!! And when i got home from work this morning and jumped on my own wifi, both phones downloaded apps just fine. Figured it was most likely a google issue. As we speak now i am able to download apps as we speak
