You can do prl updates with Reborn or any sprint based zvd rom.

I flashed my Froyo ZVD backup and tried to update the PRL and it said no update available.

In Alpha 4 do you still have to reboot for changed settings to stay?

Ah ok. I love everything about this and the MIUI iteration, but it's the reboot thing that kills it for me. I'll wait for it though!

Oh it may be but he does all of this in his spare time. We can't rush him or he may get mad and quit. Even pull the whole project. It's cool though. I did the same thing last week and someone reminded me about the rules.

One thing that makes predicting when the next release will be, is that most dev work is a long chain of devs working on the entire parts of the final ROM, kernel, camera, wifi, keyboard, dialer, etc., etc.
thekraven does not know when another dev will finish their work and something will be fixed, so that an update can be built. It is long, miles long chain with many branches. There is just no answer to the question unless you can poll hundreds of devs and figure out when they will finish the next step.

Actually i have been trying to upload alpha 5.
Thanks to tdm and Lupohirp for sharing their work.
youtube is smoother, but still choppy on hd vids.
Gingerkernel with tdm patches.
battery text is working
Camera takes pics, but no previews
wifi connects a lot better
airplane mode is working
Latest cm9 sync.
Has tdm and IHO mms fixes, so test.
Gallery should be working better, make sure you use the 2-24 gapps with the rom.
Not working and temp work arounds.
Adb only working in recovery with system mounted. I'll have to fix that later.
Usb app is back till i get the native usb working again.
No video camera or previews
I'll add more to list.
Alpha builds, your best bet is to fully wipe and flash it.

Flashed and wow, the new boot animation suprised me. Camera and gallery working with the small prebiew in the top corner working but no view in the view finder. Takes pictures and gallery will open from the camera. Did the Usual fix to get data and downloaded an app. After app installed had a force reboot for some reason. Had to reset my data but worked again. Haven't tested wifi cause I can't see good enough to read the pass code numbers on my modem, will test later. Wondering about offline charging, will test that next. Good work the kraven. One more step towards beta. Keep it up man, your the best. Edit, plugged phone in and it powered on, must not work yet. I know that you fixed it in CM7 so I know you guys can work it out. Once again, nice work on the new update.
