Never never restore system data on ROM flash. It always causes problems.

Not my place to say but what is it about people and ETAs... It must just be excitement, but these roms no matter what will always be better than stock... I'm sure more updates will come... Don't worry, all it takes is a little patience So help save the puppies!!!

It was locked/discontinued for a little bit while thekraven took a break, but that was a few weeks ago. I haven't seen anything about it being discontinued since then...

Maybe, maybe not, but quattrimus made for the VM670 would be a better choice.

I always found the ICS recent apps screen a little bit worse than the old one because you have to swipe left and right to see the whole thing and its runs a bit slow/laggy on this phone. Is there any way with this CM9 build to get the old style one back where it just shows the 8 most recent apps icons on the screen?

The recent apps screen included with this ROM is actually from HTC's Sense UI, it's not the stock ICS recent apps screen. The stock ICS version scrolls up and down, shows the last three apps, and I haven't seen the lag I got with the Sense version.

I don't know about the older Gingerbread style recent apps screen, but you can get the stock ICS version by replacing the included SystemUI.apk with the one from the Quattrimus ICS build. Just make sure you get the right one for your phone, since there are three versions (the link here goes to the Optimus S version, but there are also versions for the Optimus V and the LG Vortex (the Verizon version of the Optimus)).

As a warning, I don't know if it changes anything else, but I haven't noticed anything.

Here's a question that I didn't see anything about in the OP. I hope it wasn't already answered somewhere else: On the page for the Quattrimus ICS, it says that ICS is much bigger than older roms (GB, etc) and so he set it up to automatically use an SD-EXT partition for apps and dalvik-cache. Does this rom do anything like this? Anyone have any trouble with limited space?

It only has the dalvik to sd-ext script. You could copy the init.d scripts from a quattrimus build. I'm not near a computer to say which one.
