@southphilly...thanks. deck is at .u and I downloaded .t last night. I have 3 nandroids...Tmartin, Deck gingerbread, and mikfroyo. Currently on mikfroyo and headed back to deck today. I think because, I started with a sense Rom I got used to it. I didn't know what everyone ment when they said "this Rom flies" until I started using a non-sense Rom. I didn't know I would like trying so many roms. And to think that the only reason I rooted was for the wireless tether!!

So I downloaded 1.2t late last night and didn't want to flash then so I waited until this morning to do it. I check the XDA page for install instructions and what do I see? 1.2u is out!! Of course it is!! I think by time I get 1.2u and all my apps loaded, 1.2z will be out thus ending the world

Make sure to also flash the proper gapps zip so you can have all the Google apps. Go to the ROM thread over at XDA through the OP here and download the gapps zip with the voicemail included and flash it after you flash the ROM and you should be good to go.

Make sure to read the OP (Original Post) in the ROM thread on the XDA site. The instructions for flashing any ROM are always in the OP. For any AOSP ROM you have to flash GAPPS (Google Apps) after you flash the ROM. If you don't then you wont have Market or any other Google specific app that normally comes on a phone. ROM manager is a separate app all together, which can be loaded with an akp file or from the Market (which you wont have without flashing the GAPPS zip.

Ruh-Roh-Raggy! 1.2u is FCing on me right out of the gate. On the very first screen where the finger is touching the Android I am getting gmail app FC. Then when I tried to log in with my gmail account, it rebooted on me. Anyone else having problems with 1.2u?

Ok, I did a rewipe and reflash and now all is well... except no netflix!?! All my apps restored from the Market automatically but not netflix. I don't even see netflix in the Market when I search for it!?! Anyone else seeing this?

Flashed this update this morning and got a chance to use just about everything today. 4g and GPS work great. I even turned the GPS radio off and on a few times through out the day and never had a problem getting a solid quick fix.

Used 4g to download a train schedule(PDF) this afternoon. Took the normal amount of time for the radio to turn on and lock on to a good signal and stayed connected no problem.

And just over 9 hrs off the charger this is where my battery stood when I got home earlier tonight.

What I'm most amazed about is not so much the last update(1.2u), but really the rom in general.

I live in center city Philadelphia, I get great 3g/cellular signal and a pretty decent 4g signal all the time. And just about everywhere I go I can jump on a wifi signal when the signal is a bit weaker for 3g/4g. So I don't have any kinds of battery issues when it comes to not enough juice to make it through my day.

I usually get anywhere from around 14 to 15 hours of use and come home with around 30% to 40% battery left. Now that's here in the big city, but today I went to visit my famliy. And they live out in the middle of now where!!! When I say "no where" I mean the kind of no where, where while I was grilling hamburgers and hotdogs 3 deer walked out of the woods, stopped about 5 feet from me, looked at me then just walked back into the woods!!! That kind of no where.

Surprisingly there is cellular coverage. Its AT&T country, lots of iphony's up there. Verizon and Sprint not so much though. I never roamed just, got mostly 1 bar of signal and 1x data the whole day.

So I kind of tried to keep track of what I did through out the day in usage.

On top of what I wrote above, the 4g usage and the GPS(which was up at my families house using Gmaps) I also made about 15 mins of calls, sent/received 20 texts(3 of which where MMS), 3 emails sent/received and about an hour of 3g data total on the train ride up to my families and back into the city. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary in way of usage.

But even with really crappy signal strength for most of the day I still came home with 50% battery left!!!

I'm right there with you. I never thought I would stray from VaelPak, but this ROM has me deep in its clutches....lol. This has to be the most battery friendly ROM on the planet. I dont think I'll be switching anytime soon. There is one thing I do miss though that Sense ROMs and kernels have. I miss how the Sense camera uses the whole screen to take the picture, instead of how the AOSP ROMs only uses the smaller frame. I know that it was designed for the EVO and of course the AOSP one was just made for Android in general, but I still wish I it did. No worries though, as having vanilla Android is much more important to me then feeling down over the differences on the two cameras. That's just nonsense.

Confirmed on my end, no Netflix in the market search after flashing the 1.2u update, gonna restore my backup and see if it works. Will report back with the results.

UPDATE: I restored my backup from Titanium Backup and got a mess saying Netflix had been deactivated on the device when I tried to play something. When into the app settings through the application manager and cleared the data + cache and am happy to report its works perfectly on 3G and WiFi.

Alright guys, I have got to go to sleep. My eyes are trying to close while I'm typing this...lol.
