Yep for those of you that were all like "ya baby updated to 1.2u and ready to rock" like me!?!?! Well 1.2v just got posted. You can find the changelog here (link) http://forum.dev-host.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=12 .... don't bother checking it out, only one change was made in this update... looks like a wake issue. If its a wake lock issue or something to do with waking up our evo's, couldn't tell ya.

I have been trying all day to upgrade this radio. Nothings working. It keeps saying update adorted. I tried doing it by flashing like a rom(update adorted), and by placing on root of sdcard. I see it says parsing. Package in fastboot, but radio doesn't update. Do I really need this new radio or is it just good to have?

Finally got it updated...don't know why I updated(maybe because it said latest). Don't know what to expect. What I have learned is that there is so much information all over the place. Gets kinda confusing. But thanks to every developer and everyone that is willing to help each other.

Haven't been having any luck lately with MyBackup Pro (or ROOT). It won't load my apps after selectiung restore. I'm gonna try out TB Pro cause I really wanna update this ROM!!

Man, if I could only have 5 apps on my phone. TB Pro would be one of them. It has never forced closed me, great updates and just plain works. Some of the best money I've ever spent as it really does makes app+data backup/restore a breeze.

I'm hoping it works for me. I already purchased TB Pro but have been using MyBackup ROOT/Pro for some time now.

I'm assuming it wasn't working properly cause I wasn't "rebooting" after the install. I would only select "reboot now" in recovery.

Best of luck dude. One thing I've always done before making an app backup...I always move everything back to internal memory (temporarily) inside the details page of whatever app I'm wanting to backup. Don't know if it's necessary, maybe me just be paranoid but I'd rather take those few extra seconds to make sure everything goes as it should. Trust me though man, TB Pro is where its at, I never could get My Backup Pro to work properly for me.

Downloading Netflix isn't even an option for me in the Market. Also, I've lost the ability to use Sprint as a payment option for some reason. Anyone else?

More than likely its because this isn't anywhere near official software. There are probably little things inside the official ROM that tell the Market what phone is accessing it so it can show what's available for the particular device.

My apps are back!! TB worked out which is weird cause I only switched to MyBackup because I was having issues with TB.....lol

I am now updated to 1.2v and will probably have to update again by time I get home

What did I tell you homie...TB 4 LIFE!!! Glad to hear it went smooth for you....and your probably right about the update. I'll be checking the XDA thread all day to see if/when he updates and will report here when he does....unless of course someone beats me to it.

Could be but it was working up to version 1.2t. This is the first time with this ROM that I have not been able to get it. Maybe since the EVO was updated to GB 2.3.3 the market is now checking for OS versions and since we are running 2.3.4 it's not allowing it to be DL'd. Just a guess. Either way, I really wasn't using Netflix that often anyway, so this is not a deal breaker for me.

Ok, this is weird. You know how when you restore apps via TB or whatever they always show back up in the Market as installed. Well I restored the Netflix app via TB Pro and did a on phone Market search and got this.

Just for the heck of it, I did a desktop market search while logged into my account and got this.

The restored app streams over 3G (haven't tried 4G) just fine, was taking too long on WiFi (I need a new router). Other than that no issues I ran into so far. Any ideas on this weirdness?

Still kinda lame though. One thing I would suggest doing, if you don't like TB. The way I used to back my apps(no data) up before I learned how to use TB, I would go here and make a copy of the .apk file to store on my SD card or computer.

I have been an avid forum lurker for some time now. I enjoy everyone's post and take alot of my actions from many of your lead. I have been hesitant to move from my Sprint Lovers 2.2 rooted ROM for the simple fact that everything worked. Most notibly, GPS. I would skittishly flash CM ROMS hoping for the best but lways expecting the worst and race back mommy, err, my SL2.2 ROM, all the while feeling ashamed for not having the sack to stick with it.

That being said... I read thru this post and the post the OP linked at XDA-dev and decided to buy into Deck's ROM. I first flashed 2.3.3 and had 95% success until the GPS broke (DEALBREAKER). I tried all the fixes listed to no avail and raced back to SL2.2. Then decided to give Deck's 2.3.4 ROM a try. What a great decision! Not only does the GPS work, but I cant find a single issue. People have listed the Netflix as an issue but I dont have it so I am content. Things are lightning fast! I now know what all the hub-bub was about AOSP ROMS!!!

I was never a big Sense guy, I just ate what was fed to me. I enjoy the additional functionality that the Facebook app gives with out being guided by Sense's crappy 1.1 shaky foundation. Thank you all for your insite. It has truly givien me the gonads to try the things I have wanted to try.

This is exactly what forums are all about, IMHO. We all share and learn from one another. Glad to hear that 2.3.4 is working out for you. I haven't had a single GPS issue with this ROM thus far. THis is the first AOSP ROM where everything just works! I'm sure you will come to love it (if you don't already) as much as the rest of us do. Did you say that you don't have netflix? Is that by choice or are you running an "unsupported" handset? Check my next post for links to the Netflix apks, including an apk that remove the device check!
