Check the OP for download links.

If anyone keeps an eye on Gerrit, there should be some cool stuff coming in future nightlies. Battery bar akin to MIUI, ability to change the boot animation from CM Settings, and some other cool stuff. If anyone doesn't know how to find Gerrit, there is a link in a fairly obvious place in this thread. :P

okay so I caught up on some of the nightlies and I was wondering can I. use ROM Manager and load the latest version? or are there further steps that I need to consider first? also will there be any problems while loading the new kernel thru the kernel manager.? thanks a lot.

You can use ROM Manager, but it's buggy. You'll be better off using ROM Manager to download the nightly and then Flash it manually in Recovery after clearing Cache and Dalvik Cache.

thought the ROM manager cleared cashed and dalvik. damn. well thanks. will get that started. what are ur thoughts on kernel manager? same!? also full wipe or right on over? thanks for the help on catching up.

Never used Kernel Manager, so I can't say for sure. If you're gonna boot into recovery to flash the ROM, might as well just flash the kernel while you are at it. Nightlies can be flashed right on top of each other, just be sure to wipe cache/dalvik. You will also need to flash your kernel again everytime you flash a new nightly, as it will re-install the stock CM7 kernel when flashing.

I don't mean to be rude, but I believe most of these answers are in the OP. If it is not clear enough, I will gladly update it when I get the chance. This isn't directed at anyone in particular, but I know myself and others would rather not answer questions over and over again that are already answered in the OP. So please, any newcomers to this MASSIVE thread, please read the OP thoroughly. Nobody expects you to read this whole thread (I know even I have missed a couple pages), but please double check the OP before posting questions! Thanks everyone for making this the GREATEST thread in the INC forums!

I have not used Kernel Manager - I use the stock CM7 kernel so I have not used the app. I've tried other kernels but always flashed them manually clearing caches.

no worries, I am on track and on the nightly now. I appreciate the help, you don't really think about how many times questions get asked repeatedly here. but again thank you for putting up with the small inconvenience. awesome stuff and great patience on the forums. Kudos

Like I said, wasn't directed towards you. Just a friendly reminder for anyone new to these forums and especially this thread. :)

As the Incredible gets older I've noticed more and more new CM users. I'm sure once ICS drops we'll see a huge upturn in users as there will never be an ICS update from HTC. My guess for CM9 nightlies to start will be 2 weeks after source is released.

awesome.... hope I don't continue to be an idiot with this question but I am having trouble flashing kernel. I have seen same issues in thread but the fixes haven't worked. tried from reboot and no luck and also tried rom manager for giggles and no success. I downloaded straight from phone and also from computer to SD card. no luck though. any ideas that I may have read over? on nightly 240. thanks.

Please describe your entire process, and what exactly is going wrong when you try to flash the kernel. Which kernel are you trying to flash?

scratch that, tried a fresh download and worked. same issue at first but second attempt worked fine. very odd. thanks tho.

Ok, honest question here...why is it jumping from CM7 to CM9. Is there already a CM8?
