[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

ProTekk on XDA has been doing Morning Builds. I have not flashed any yet, but others have and seem to be OK. His build numbers do not match the bot's and his versions are different because he's building in the morning rather then the evening so any mergers made overnight will be in the Protekk builds and are not in the nightly. It's all very confusing reguarding which version is what.

I just loaded that up and paired with incredikernal...seems to be working well.

I think I'm going to stay where I am at for now. Why mess with perfection. My phone is running better than ever. My phone is running on almost 16 hours straight from 1 charge. and i think ill sqeeze another 2 or 3 more hrs from it! Plus I read through the entire thread from xda, And there doesn't really seem to be too many differences so I am gonna sit tight for now :)

on an added note, I also do have a 1750mah battery, not the stock 1300maH... that being said, even when I was using the stock battery I was getting quite good results... I also have the 'smartass' kernel setting to 128 - 921mhz

Whenever I change the kernel settings for clock speeds, I end up with force closes. Have you had any stability issues with those settings?

What are you having to force close? I have never had any FC issues on my phone using chad kernel

I have issues downloading, either from the market or the browser. It's the same process I was having issues with earlier, android.process.media. The weird thing is that it only starts when I tweak the clock settings, but it persists after a reboot and now a restore... If you aren't seeing it, then it's probably something specific to my device. Maybe I'll just stop playing with my clock settings :).

Just curious, you did a FULL wipe.. and reinstall ... you did re-flash the GApps .zip file right? Otherwise you would be missing some things.

I did a full wipe and reinstall moving from 13 to 14 with a reflash of GApps and life was good. Then, just now I decided to play with the clock settings and the force closes began again. A wipe of the Davik and cache didn't solve it, nor did a restore to 14 using the nandroid backup I made before I started playing with the clock settings. I'll do a full wipe and I'm sure everything will be fine.

I tend to run a fairly minimal phone, so it doesn't take too long to get things back to normal. My confusion is what's special about my phone that it doesn't like this. I really don't need to play with the clock settings as I typically use a 3500 mAh battery, but that's the fun of CM, right?

I also keep a "clean" phone... I use it for work and school alot (Electodroid app)... i don't play any games on it, im just not a gamer... I text ALOT, tapatalk, and podcasts on ACast Pro app, navagation, and facebook... I use flash pretty heavy bout twice a week...
You have a monster of a battery... how long before you need a charge?
...and yes, this is the fun of CM... fortunately, I really haven't had any problems at all. this has been the most stable ROM i have ever used. the only thing i have noticed is that using chad's newest kernel, sometimes i have to press the power button twice to get the screen to come on. No biggie though :)

I got the battery before I rooted, and was typically at about 40% at the end of the day. Using CM, I have started using both batteries in a rotation and can get 2 days before charging with the 3500 battery. I kind of like the small form factor with the stock battery, but it's nice to have a monster battery and know I'll be fine for a day no matter how heavily I use my phone.

I really like CM, too. I used ADW before I rooted, so having a rom that uses it as the standard launcher is awesome.

I keep my phone in an otterbox and I just cant leave it unprotected, or I would have a bigger battery.. only downside is people think I have an iphone... lol

occasionally i have to press the power button a few times to wake while, using the stock kernel (slayher's), and i leave the governor set the way it comes, so i don't think it's the underclocking or the incredikernel, specifically.

Sethv what do u use to watch TV on you Inc...I remember u mentioning this

I don't do anything special I just use the stock web browser that came with the phone. I do not like dolphin or any of the other web browsers..

I could be the wrong, but reading on some other forums a lot of people using kernels for under or over clocking kinda have the same issues...

Looks like the ProTekk builds won't be lasting, as his site got hijacked and he is now being hit with a lawsuit from a big bank because someone was acting as him. Very unfortunate. Hopefully the buildbot will get it's stuff together soon!

That's pretty crazy, I read through the whole entire thread today, and it seemed pretty legit.... Can you send me a link to where you found this I'd like to read up on it more
