[ROM][GINGERBREAD] CyanogenMOD 7 Nightly Builds.

Five builds in four days and tonight there's nothing at all merged yet into the codebase! I'm smelling RC3 nearby.

EDIT: <<facepalm>> Dummy had a stale browser... there are merges just nothing really relevant to us.

its cool. the first two days it sucked bc of no cyanogenmod, but now it's pretty good. data speeds are ridiculous.

i'm trying to learn how to install sdk/adb so i can get root, and get some roms, but it's going slow bc i dont know anything about programming. not cool.

I would pull the battery wait a minute, put the battery back in and then boot into recovery (vol down plus power buttons), then restore your last nandroid backup from before something went wrong

Well first calm down. Try a battery pull and reboot it and see if that stops it.

Yes I agree pull the battery and reboot. I had this exact same issue.
As long as you don't check set cpu on boot rebooting seems to reset to defaults and that's your way out.

After flashing incredikernel I can turn up the clock speed no problem

Not going to flash 30 this morning.... Like Pville sayeth; " Nothing relevant to us" . just went through the gerrits too and noticed something interesting though... Untouchab1e is a 'builder' for CM nightlies.... veerrrry interesting..................................................................... anyway.

kaefbaml- Did your phone come back to life?

Really strange

Just noticed something very strange.... I DID NOT flash 30 this morning, I am on 29! yesterday I checked to see if that 'wallpaper' was still available and it was.,, So I am talking a few minutes ago with my dad about the debacle over this stupid wallpaper issue and when I go to show it to him, ITS GONE, and replaced with Blue footed booby wallpaper (which is ironically funny)... HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? I didn't flash anything new, how can that happen? If anyone knows please tell me.

Question- i bet no one can answer!

OK... So, when any of us go into settings the very first screen we see is the main screen - this one (my question is below)

As you can tell I have removed (on purpose) the ADW settings, because I now only use ADW EX... Does anyone know how I could put my ADW EX setting in the spot where ADW used to be (which was right below CyanogenMod settings)???

I don't know how you can add it, but I bet you can access the EX menu by pressing menu when you are on the main screen, going to more, and finding ADW settings there.

This was where settings where when I had ADW installed over other default launchers.

much easier than that I have my ADW EX app icon on one of my homescreens. all i have to do is click on the icon and it takes me right to the settings. and since I completely removed ADW, i only have the option for ADW EX anyways.

I am sure it can be done, I have been going through every file and folder imaginable in rootexplorer. i am just trying to figure out where I need to copy and place it.

Video recording is busted for me. I think this was working before, but I don't remember the last time I tried it. I reset it to the defaults and it freezes after 2 seconds of recording.

Unfortunately you cannot do this. The CM devs baked ADW Settings into the settings menu, so anytime you change launchers you lose that functionality.

What build are you on? I'm about to flash #30 right now, but video recording is working fine for me on #29.

what CM are you running #30?

Not sure if this is the right place for this but I want to know how to install a custom boot animation using CM7 Nightlies and of it is even possible(currently running 28).

I read directions on how to do it but i am unable to delete or modify the system boot animation file.

I've tried root explorer, astro, and es file manager and none of them will let me get rid of the stock CM7 boot animation or put the custom animation in its place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!!

Using Root Explorer, make sure you mount the folder as R/W. Tap the icon in the top right corner that says Mount R/O or Mount R/W to change the files.

Im sure your right, but couldn't I in theory just copy and Place the adw ex xml or apk (whatever the format it is) in the same place that I removed the original adw from settings in root explorer?

I do this all the time using SuperManager app (like root explorer, but FREE)...
if you still cant do it after trying Crondable's way, then try it with this app...
First thing you need to do is click on SETTINGS and 'enable ROOT function' - then go back and select FILE EXPLORER, then find the bootanimation.zip file (on your SD card) and longpress then copy... hit the back button until you can find the SYSTEM file. once you click on system a message will come up to 'switch system R/W'.. press the R/W button, then open the media folder and longpress bootanimation and delete. then at the bottom of screen press the clipboard picture and it will paste the copy you made earlier. then press 'menu' (soft button) and Switch system R/W back to R/O. exit out of the program and reboot :) Good to go... let me know if this helps
