if im not mistaken google released the SDK right after they announced the new nexus.
so thats how the SDK came about, as for getting it to run, somehow gingerbread files are involved to patch up some things.

The image I posted was from a pre SDK leak. and these are not gingerbread resources, they're either from honeycomb or an early (pre-sdk) build of Ice Cream Sandwich. Unless there is something about Gingerbread AOSP that I don't know

can't through ROM manager, but power & volume up will still allow you to boot into recovery

Yes your recovery is still there,you can restore nadroid and flash roms.Full root is going to added SU app and everything else.A lot of sleepless night you forget about the small things.lol

besides losing root & not being able to use TB, ROM man, or super user the ROM is fine. a few bugs here & there, but a great start nonetheless. I'll definitely be keeping my eye on this bkuz I know y'all will have it humming in know time. *tips cap*

got it functioning on my nexus s 3g fine on at&t. will post download at my drewgaren.com site and link back here. I will try and improve on this for Nexus S 3g as well. So far so good.

hope it can install on i9023 as well.

EDIT: Still booting. But as it booted, my computer came up with "Google File-CD gadget"-drivers. Does anyone know what it's for? I can't find any info about it on Google.

EDIT2: It's pretty damn smooth! I can confirm that I can send SMS and make calls, but I don't know about 3G, as I had some problems with it before this ROM. Wifi doesn't seem to work Scratch that, it works just fine! But at least there are delicious rotation animations!

for 3G i guess you need to input APN on your own?

As I said, it works fine without any extra kernel. No idea why.

I've had that problem with 3G for a few days (not only ICS) and I've tried everything I can think of, APN included. The only thing I need is to call my carrier and ask if they have problems with 3G in my area or something. I think it's a hardware problem...
