[ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 10-2

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

After installing... I can't seem to send any texts although I have no problem receiving them. I've tried handcent with no avail. Anyone have a fix for this?

do you sync your contacts with facebook? I have an issue where facebook appends the number 1 to the front of the number and I can't text them.

If they text you can you reply?

I just installed the build from last night and I'm seeing a huge improvement just in performance at the moment. Haven't had time to test much else but will update once i do. It apparently has a large amount of fixes in it. You can find it over at rootz.

If I flash ProTekk's latest build over Slayher's, will it merely update, or will it wipe my data? Can I choose not to wipe data? I know I can back up data, but it's a pain in the @$$ sometimes to restore all of the accounts.

Also, is this a terrible idea?

Have to check the rootzwiki forum for the best answer, I didn't install CM7.1 since was posted when first rooted.I came in about build 21 from Protekk, I'm using the eternity Rom right now, because I missed some of the graphics from sense.

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

Wow! I love the battery life of CM7, but I hate how the lockscreen lags, the speak to text barely works, and when I end a call, the screen goes black and won't let me press the hang up button.

If there are any fixes for this, I would love them. I can't find them in anywhere in this thread.

I have the same issue with the screen going black when trying to hang up a call. I haven't found a fix for it, I just hit my power button and the screen lights back up and I can end call. I rarely actually talk on my phone, so it's not a deal breaker for me.

A few posts back you will find a link to a newer version of cm7. Perhaps this bug has been squashed already? It may be worth a try. I updated last night and the phone seems to be running just fine. You can just install over 7.1.1 without issue. Backup first though.

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

Can some one please help me with this?

I never had a CM rom. I've been using Gingeritis and BAMF. So now I wanted to check out CM7. I
downloaded the link from the beginning of the post and checked the MD5 which matched. I did all the normal checks, Nandroid, wipe 3x User data, Cache, and Dalvik.

When I installed the ROM from zip, it read update complete. Which is obviously not right. When I rebooted I got stuck on HTC splash screen. No big deal, I just restarted in HBoot and got back in recovery then restored.

Am I missing a step here? Do I need to flash the first build of CM7 then this update?

When Nexus becomes available can this build "fool" Verizon into providing the ability to have My Verizon and NFL Mobile or will we have to wait for CM9 for that?

AOSP roms are missing a Verizon specific file that let's it register with its network to get those apps to login. Sorry I forgot what its called. I remember trying to install it but didn't work. Ive only had sense roms work

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

This ROM is by far the best I've ever used. Been running it for a few days coming from sense ROMs, and it blew me away. Only thing missing is NFL mobile, and it doesn't really matter because the video is garbage to begin with. Good luck getting anyone to pay for that next year Verizon.

I haven't really missed NFL Mobile since I went to CM7 on my phone. Can't wait till CM9 or something for the 'bolt that can run ICS.

Can someone tell me why the TB doesnt have a final build from Cyanagen? I was just curious. It's doesn't have the device listed on their website.

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

So recently I've been having some problems with data drop while browsing. Earlier in the thread it was suggested to update the radios for this problem. My current ones are ancient: 1.39.00.0627r and 0.01.69.0625r. Should i just grab the latest radios, or is there a particular combo that works great with this ROM?

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

So, I've been running CM7 on the Thunderbolt for a couple weeks, now. Recently, I noticed an issue, though... When someone is calling me, my screen doesn't turn on for me to accept the call. I have to press the volume button on the side to wake the screen up (which also mutes the ringtone), and then answer.

Thing is, when I first installed CM7, I didn't have this problem. I *do* remember a few days ago, though, that I was playing around with the settings, and found that there were different options for the "answer call" style (how you answer the call, i.e. sliding the answer bubble to the middle of the screen, etc.), and I changed the setting from the default. I'm wondering if this is causing the problem. Thing is, now I can't find this setting anywhere, so I don't know how to change it back to test it... :(
