[ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 10-2

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

Does Google Talk Video work with this ROM? I've been running it for a week, and I love it, but I can't find the setting for that....

did you flash the newest GAPPS with the experimental GoogleTalkVideo?

if not, that's why you're not seeing it.

it worked for me while i was on this ROM maybe a week ago (it's the 828 or 928 gapps i believe). AND it worked in Portrait mode, instead of Landscape.

I did all of this exactly how you just said it. MD5 matches. Everything flashed with out a problem but I still get stuck on the htc white screen. I dont even get to the bootloop. No idea what is going on with this but it seems like CM7 is out of my reach for now.

first time i flashed this ROM it took about 14 minutes on the boot animation screen. i thought it was in an infinite boot loop (also, no radio file on your card, right? remove it, if so) but then it booted up fine at about the 16 minute mark.

i know that's one step past the splash screen but for some people it'll get past it

You may have already answered this, but are you flashing this via CWM? if you are, I would make sure to have the latest version. I've seen a few people have the same issue and it was resolved after flashing the updated version.

I just boot into recovery and flash it not sure what version it is.

Okay I just went ahead and downloaded the paid version on rom manager and downloaded the cm7 from there and now it works perfectly haha oh well atleast I got it booted up.

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

I've noticed this since the version prior to this (and I still have the issue with 7.1.1, but sometimes when I make (not receive) a call, the microphone appears to not have worked, because people were unable to hear my voice. Has anyone else had this problem?

What other way is there besides cwm ?

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

I can't get the widgets in the lockscreen settings to actually appear on my lockscreen, regardless of my lockscreen style. Anyone have a fix?

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

Under style options make sure you have "use application icon for custom app" checked.

That option is greyed out. What am I doing wrong? It is greyed out for each of the style options.

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

I use "ring" and it is greyed out, I do have "custm app starter" checked on. It looks like "lense" is the only lockscreen style that does not allow custom apps. I guess try a few different styles, if nothing works then try to flash cm7 again.

It's driving me nuts. I really don't want to have to restore all of my accounts again and whatnot, even though I use MyBackup Pro. All I want is to display my next appointment on my lockscreen without having to resort to a third party app. Grrrrr.....

I'd like to add the CM7 lock screen "clock" to my home screen. Is that possible?

Re: [ROM] Not fully Official CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1.1 Updated 1

I flashed the latest version 7.1.1 (first time) so I also flashed the gaps zip - Now my phone froze on the splash screen, any ideas?

Edit: And yeah, I wiped, re-download the file and re-flashed multiple times.

Can you boot back into recovery or are you bricked?

Try wiping data, cache and Dalvik cache... then boot up, log into your Gmail account, then start the Market app... I assume you loaded the GAPPS file already if you have the Market app... do this before anything else.

I don't suppose vzw vvm works either?

There is a new version available tonight - build 16 - has anybody tried it yet? I'd really like to try this but all the talk about getting stuck on the white screen scares me.

Do you flash cm7, flash gapps, then restart or do you restart BETWEEN flashing the rom and flashing gapps?

If you get stuck the white htc screen do you pull battery? Can you still get back into recovery with pwr volume down after that battery pull?

I got really sick of sense so I decided to flash this rom and I must say, I really like it. Theres a noticeable performance increase and the vanilla look and feel is much nicer IMO.

...one thing tho, every time I unlock the phone it loads up the browser, even if I didnt have it loaded before locking the phone.

Any idea why?
