I cannot send a text at all with the stock messaging app. I've got 3 bars and can't send a text, what's with that

Looks like I'm going back to stock I have to make calls

I would do a full wipe and reload. Check your downloaded file and make sure it is complete. Sounds like something went wrong with the install. Give it another shot!

Any idea why I can't call or text at all but my data is zooming on 4g. I'd like to stick with this Rom but its gotta work. I did a full wipe, restarted, and battery pull

3 posted comments with no background information in 5 minutes... and the last post commenting about going back to stock... that's what bothers me.

So... is this your first ROM??? Did you flash a Gingerbread Radio??? If so, what radio version did you flash??? Did you do a full data wipe, wipe cache and wipe Dalvik cache prior to loading the ROM??? Did you load the GAPPS file???

That's a good place to start if you want help.

Try wiping data, cache and Dalvik cache... then boot up, log into your Gmail account, then start the Market app... I assume you loaded the GAPPS file already if you have the Market app... do this before anything else.

Someone always says to take these steps but nobody ever says how. What's the best place to read.about this (or simply tell me if not too much trouble)

Which part??? The first, I have always used http://forums.androidcentral.com/thunderbolt-rooting-roms-hacks/77350-guide-how-backup-restore-install-roms-thunderbolt.html The rest I'd stay you should read the first post of [ROM] CM7 for Thunderbolt. 7.1 Updated 10-1 2:47PM EST Special BBQ Release... if it is not specifically stated there then it's my person experience loading ROMs.

This isn't my first Rom that's why I'm confused about the text and calls. I did full wipe, cache, davlik, and data. Flashed gapps then the cm7 zip. Then the gapps again to make sure it went thru.

I'm on a gb radio 148.00.0906w. The rom is working very fast but I cannot text or call, my data is rock solid fast on lte. Hopefully this is the info you need to maybe help.

The Rom is super fast id love to use it daily

MMS wasn't working for me and was going to try a data wipe, but fortunately I checked the rootzwiki thread first. Apparently, it's a known issue and slayher is looking into it. For now, it's back to my nandroid of RC 1.8.

Lmao, soon as I posted that I checked to make a call and out of service error again. I'm just gonna stick to the de bloated stock gb Rom I'm running that I got from adrynalyne. I have to have a fully functional Rom.
Damn shame cuz cm7 was zooming on my bolt too

I installed goSMS and I get all (receive/send) SMS and MMS. The weird part is when something shows up on goSMS my Messaging app gets updated too and vice versa so I can use either app. Give goSMS a try

7.1.1 has been released. This reportedly fixes the mms issue. Loading it now.
