Where do i get the ed01 radio..and what kernel should i use? i'm on superfrankenclean 2.9.2 voodoo and i can just flash this over 2.9.2 as is right?
I just successfully got it all working with red CWR, on top of 2.9.2, and it looks great. I installed the ED01 radio, but don't notice the difference (GPS still slow to lock on). Just kept whatever kernel was in there with 2.9.2.
Best thing: Voice Actions finally work! It's a freaking miracle. Thanks Adrynalyne. I can't wait for future, cleaner builds, perhaps with the option to turn off in-app ads. That's one thing I noticed immediately, coming from SC.

Re-rooting stock ED01
I'm sorry if this has been asked but I don't have a whole lot of time to search right now. I RTS'd today and updated to ED01 via the OTA from Verizon. In looking at re-rooting, I see that most ROM's come with EC01's radio etc. Prior to RTS, I was on EB01 and was having issues with longer SMS not being received by the other person and I wasn't getting some text messages as well. Is anyone having issues like this with the EC01 parts that are in ED01 roms? I'm just a little bit leery of not having the most updated versions of software on my phone as they are generally improvements over the previous versions... idk. Thoughts?

I just flashed this on top of OTA ED01, hoping maybe it would get me de-Binged, but I see absolutely no difference. I guess in retrospect that makes sense, since all of the bloatware is still there and I just flashed this .zip on top of it. But I could've sworn somebody said it would de-Bing the OTA. Did I misunderstand?
Im pretty sure there isnt an Odin of ED01 radio yet do u mean EC01?...where did u get it??

Scroll down to the ROM's post and look for the EC01 Rom and radio, follow the instructions via the developer link.
I meant where did he get ED01 ive been on EC01 for awhile now. But that is great for showing people were to get it. Nice

There is no ED01 radio/modem available yet. If anyone is flashing a separate radio/modem it is the EC01 radio. I haven't checked over at XDA yet, but if Adrynalyne has pulled the ED01 radio out of the release he would have posted it at both XDA and here. He is extremely reliable and good about doing that.
As far as I can tell they are about the same. They are based on the same build.
I was running on EC01 then decided to get the ED01 modem cause I figured I was going to upgrade anyways.

Ok, to (maybe) answer a few questions I saw in the thread... I ODIN'd back to stock to get the OTA, then flashed the deodexed ROM from Adryn, and I have the ED01 radio as a result. Flashed the ROM on my wife's phone, which has always been stock, and it too has the ED01 radio. So, IMO, as long as you have all your stuff backed up, I would ODIN back to stock and let the OTA's get you up to ED01, then flash over that and you'll be good.

And, just to clarify, this would have to be applied via CWR and not odin, correct?
I'm pretty new to Android (former blackberry user) so all this is pretty new to me and any help would be great.

Yes, you will use CWR to flash this to your phone, be sure to put it on your sd card
Good luck!I have sc 2.9.2, EC01 radio, the latest JT nv kernel... I tried to do a full wipe and apply the debloat rom from this thread, and it gets to the fancy new vertical "android" boot screen but keeps getting some unknown FC during it and it wont ever boot. I tried another 100% wipe, fix permissions, etc, and it did the same thing... Anyone else have this problem? Or maybe some advice on what i'm doing wrong? I have cwr red 2.5-ish, the install goes without incident but it just wont boot...

Did you flash the Kernel and Radio also? I just double checked and neither ROM includes those. If you don't want to use the ones you have handy, you could always ODIN back to stock and go the OTA route before flashing the ROM. That gets you the whole ED01 enchilada prior to making it the way you want.

This is what did it for me. I didnt wipe the data, i did a restore from the backup, then did the install from the zip and it worked great. I left the radio and kernel alone, wiped the cache and it finally booted. I hope the battery life is good with this setup, because this kernel finally does a good job with barnacle and everything else seems to work great... I shouldnt jinx it though...
Maybe some day i will have the time to go the DJ05, EA28, ED01 route but not this weekend.
