Thanks Landshark, but you still aren't answering my question. So again if someone can answer the following:

Is the dummy tether kernel for the Wireless&Network tether option or for the tether apps available on the market? or Both?

I have the kernel installed and only use the tethering apps from the market and have yet to see an increase on my bill. However I keep my tethering usage pretty low so maybe thats the reason. From what I understand its reall difficult to tell if the kernel is actually working to dummy a hotspot or not. Its one of those use at your own risk kind of things so I dunno if that helps or not but thats my experience with it.

Good luck with the schooling. Quick question for you. I got your 2.7.1 running fine with voodoo right now. Not sure I want to upgrade just yet as the steel blue theme with it looks sick. Will I run into any issues with it? I haven't found a problem with it so far. Just curious on your input.

lol. adrylyne, im just kidding. im a flsh whore as i think everyone knows. i will be flashing 2.8 and the new superdark rom all in the next couple of hours. i just felt like being stupid.

on another note, software engineerering? wouldnt that be like me taking classes to be a cable guy?

How do I get my Red CWM and Orange CWM combo back? Before flashing SC2.8nv when I manually booted into recovery I would be in Red CWM and applying the update.zip would take me into Orange CWM. I liked that scheme because I could flash both Amend and Edify themes.

After SC2.8nv booting recovery manually takes me to Blue CWM and applying the update.zip takes me into Orange CWM.

Sorry for the noob questions but I'm honestly trying to learn all this.

I have been running a near stock version EB01 with the red CWM all file from XDA awhile back.

Are we supposed to flash recovery via rom manager now or are we still using the good old red cwm? I have adryn's modded rom manager right now but have only used it to fix permissions once.

Might need to try SC again.
